Here is concept art for a game for a client of mine. This is the exterior and interior of the same house. All work done with Affinity Photo. You can see more of these and some of my process on my Artstation profile.

    Hey fellow Affinity friends!

Have some new styles – fresh of the press. :)
Played around with styles today and came up with
the idea of the letterpress effects.

A bit desdaturated, but these are just the presets. Obviously you can try different
blend modes, colors and backgrounds. This is how the four different styles look
like if you use them directly on text or vector layers.
Use on path-based layers recommended, the effect doesn't show off well on pixel layers …

And this is what they may look like after fiddling around with perspective and
    some further effects applied.

Anyways, the afstyles are packed as a zip – have fun messing around! :D

Between work this week, I've been playing with a new logo...partly because my bird doesn't work in printed applications but mainly because I'm a fussy idiot who cant stop tinkering.

Anyway, Ive whittled my designs down to three feather designs, but cant pick which one is best.

Earlier designs were way over complicated and way over engineered, so I have cut some fat and tried to keep an element of readability....the first rounded one although looks great also looks like a 'D' so the middle and last have a more feather look.

(The logo will be used landscape and tower as it is now)

In print conditions you are absolutely correct, so its been made so it can be one solid colour too.
For social and web use Ive been a bit indulgent and used all the colours ;) just for fun really.

    Hi Dennis

I had the exact same problem but I found a video explaining how to proceed. The declaration in AP seems to be very sensitive to the paths.
I hope it will fix the problem for you too.

Mr. Doodlezz reacted to R C-R in Google Nik Collection is now free for everyone.
I had that issues but I figured out why: Like you, I had opened a photo from my iPhone, one that as it turned out I had to rotate 180° for it to appear right side up at some point in the past, probably in Apple's Photos app. That became obvious in AP when I selected the Move tool, selected the photo pixel layer, & noticed that the Move tool rotate handle was at the bottom instead of the top.

The fix was simple: choose the photo pixel layer, right click on it, & choose "Rasterize..." from the popup menu. Even though it was already a rasterized pixel layer, doing that 'resets' the Move tool's rotate handle to the top, in effect resetting the pixel rotation to 0°. After doing that, the photo layer appeared right side up in the NIK filters.

I'm making isometric illustrations for quite a while now. I used to make them in Photoshop/Illustrator, but since Affinity introduced Isometric grids my life got way easier.

The idea is to make some screenprints of these illustrations someday (hence the limited colorpalette).

I really look forward to hear what you think about them!

Hey guys … so I sat down for a while and tried the approach I know from AI and IND.
This is how I made my designs when there’s special finishing involved in the layout.

Maybe this helps and you get the idea how to apply it to your design. :)

Mr. Doodlezz got a reaction from Richard Fillebrown in My graphic work and other stuff that I create
    Hello folks,
My name is Dennis. I created this pixelated self-portrait a few days ago. Started it in Dottable, a pixel-art app on a mobile phone, then traced it in Affinity Designer with the grid snap feature. Then I added a few grunge textures over masked areas, imported it into Affinity Photo, and finished it off with LUT filters and monochrome noise for a subtle paper-like feel.
I like how precisely the applications work together and that you can add pixel-based textures directly in Affinity Designer without having to change the application, it integrates very fluidly into the workflow.
Anyway, I hope you like the result.

I have a series of paper craft robots. Three years ago I made a Santa Clause robot, then a reindeer robot, and this year I've added elf robots. The fold patterns were created in SketchUp, and the artwork was done in both AP and AD. All the textures are assembled from photos that I am constantly shooting.

    Hey guys,

I just recently found out about the live perspective filter – how could I miss this important filter?! :o
This filter is awesome! It’s similar to my beloved Smart Objects from Photoshop, if not better considering
in combination with other live filters like DOF!

So I thought why not share my first »just-replace-and-you’re-ready-to-go« file. :D
In case you want to try – here’s the download. A nice and simple DIN letterhead mockup to demonstrate
how cool this filter works, maybe it saves you time somehow. ;)

You may need to further adjust it to your liking.

    We'll let you know!
