Hi William, As @Alfred has said 'The usual advice is to make sure you sign in with the Apple ID that you used when purchasing the app.' Can't say i've seen it before where a Mac is locked to using just 1 App Store Account, i've owned several Mac devices and change between accounts i have without issue. On your Macbook you should be able to sign out of the App Store and sign in again using the Apple ID for your iMac and you'll be able to redownload Affinity from the app store. If that isn't working, i'd suggest contacting Apple as you should be able to switch App Store accounts without issue.

That could very well be the cause of the issue. As open Sans is a Google font so pretty easy to get hold of and at this stage i'd suggest downloading the same version from them on both PCs and replacing the current version on both PCs. That way you know both are using the version of the font and you shouldn't see this issue. The fact Designer is reporting the font as Open Sans but displaying Arial is a separate issue i'll need to log.

Hi Webworld, Once you've got the ellipse and rectangles select it should just be a case of pressing the Dive button. You can then just select the parts of the rectangle outside of the ellipse and you'll be able to delete them . As for the colour, it doesn't really matter. We've used blue on that page to highlight certain elements to show them as being selected.

photo to line art
stokerg replied to jak's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi jak, There are a number of Tutorials for doing this kind of effect and a search of the forums will return a number of different methods. Personally, i'd suggest using Affinity Photo and making use of the Macro provided by R C-R on this link to get a pencil sketch effect from an image.- 2 replies

PDF docs
stokerg replied to jackamus's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Can't say i'd expect that to be an issue. It's possible part of that process has caused the issue. If you have a sample PDF you can attach here or upload to our Dropbox here. If you can let me know which page is the problem, i'll check it out and see what the issue could be -
PDF docs
stokerg replied to jackamus's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi jackamus, If you open the PDF and check on the Character Studio (View>Studio>Character), you'll see a Language drop down box, that needs to be set to the same language as the PDF you've opened. So for me, if i open the attached PDF in Designer the word Colour would only be underlined if i had a different language other than English United Kingdom selected. If that doesn't help, we would need a copy of the PDF file to look into this further Spell check test.pdf -

Hi IceSigma and Welcome to the Forums, I think this maybe the same issue as reported on this thread: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/47186-small-gaps-between-objectpattern-tiles-when-snapping/ If you follow the advice from MEB, it should help make it less obvious. If it doesn't help, then if you could attach the .afdesign file showing the issue, we can look into this further

Thanks for the files Vladimir. Something odd is certainly happening. I was able to create a HDR stack from the images, but i had to process them manually via the Develop Persona, exporting each one out as a JPG and i was able to create a stack from the JPGs. I'd still expect Affinity to be able to create a HDR Merge from the RAW files, seeing as the New Stack option is able to do it from the RAW files. I'll get it logged and see what further information i can find out

Hi Quouik and Welcome to the Forums, I can confirm the same also happens for me. If i try the same steps on the Desktop version of Affinity then it all works as expected. I've just logged this issue with the Dev team as i can't see why it wouldn't honour the values entered, like the desktop version does.

Hi Stratobee and Welcome to the Forums, Those steps should work. The item not moving, it could be a locked layer, see if there is a padlock icon on the Layers Studio and click it, then try moving the item. If it's still not working, save the file as a .afdesign or .afphoto file and upload it to our Dropbox here and i'll be able to take a look

Needed to work on iPad mini
stokerg replied to Affinity-Inspiration's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Hi HarryMcGovern, We have no plans to support the iPad mini, mainly due to the screen size and spec of the hardware. Sorry i can't give you any better news -
Global Colors
stokerg replied to GrosseFreiheit's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
Hi GrosseFreiheit, It's not currently possible to set Global Colours on the iPad. It's been requested a number of times and i'd expect to see it in Designer before it's in Photo. If you set a Global Colour on the Desktop version and open that afdesign/afphoto file the Global colour should still be honoured, you just can't create/edit them on the iPad.
