Here are a couple shots from my recent trip to Oxford. The one a student off to exams. The other a woman returning from Waterstones. Both lost in thought.

Experimenting with Intensity brushes. All vector based painting.
The ability to sketch in a raster environment and move directly to vector is great. Here is the rough:

Hi everyone, i would like to share my work with u guys. I call it "Volumetric lights jungle".
It's entirly made from custom brushes so i can quickly apply to the scene. An then made some last adjustment in pixel mode. I really love that feature.
Feedback are welcome :)

Here is a link to the .afdesign file for this. It includes history and is about 9GB.
Copyright Alex Poulsen 2016, copyright includes everything contained with the exception of the fabric texture. Includes the three vector designs. You are free to use the linked .afdesign as a tutorial for creating your own version, however similar the final product may be.

Ros reacted to d3nt in a fresh new start
Hey guys,
although I bought Affinity Designer before I bought Affinity Photo I definitely used the last one more often.
I think, it is time to change that! :)
I made that polygon fox yesterday. Just one question: With Snapping enabled (especially "snap to shape keypoints" and "snap to object geometry") it worked quite well,
but it took a while until AD recognized that it should snap. Normally I just hover over the object and wait until the object is highlighted in purple (and then it snaps). Is there a way to force AD to snap right away? Especially when I had to correct lines and corners I tried some things like "selecting corners > horizontal/vertical align", but it didn't work the way I proposed.

Ros reacted to noor in Thank you Affinity Designer!
I am not a professional artist or designer. I was just playing around with Affinity Designer one day, drawing some flowers and trees... and I got hooked! And now, I every time I see nice flowers or trees, I feel challenged and look forward to draw them. I have a lot to learn about Affinity Designer and digital art drawing, but I am enjoying every moment of it. So thank you so much! :D

Hey folks,
Been a wee while but I'm back at creating creatures with Affinity Designer (and paper & pencil). Instead of adding a new topic for every one I make, I thought I'd start this new thread to put them all in and show them off to you all.
So here's one for ya! :)
