Ah yes that sounds like the same thing, had not found this one!

Indeed, allows to select the text and I can still adjust the size.
In that case it is the much better workaround! As long as no other edit is needed.

If you Place rather than Open the scanned pdf files in Publisher maintaining PDF Passthrough that will allow you to put multiple documents/pages together and adjust the size of the scanned documents on each page. When exported from Publisher the pdf will remain searchable and the text selectable allowing you to copy and paste it.
There is also no need to change the colour of the invisible text because when you copy and paste text from the pdf into another document, e.g., Word, Google Docs etc., the text appears visible.
I don't know if that gives you what you are looking for, if not let us know as there are other possible options.

this looks to be Windows specific. I am on a Mac. I've just created a sample doc with a table placed on a master page and I can create pages based on that master page and edit the contents of the table without any problem.

create a blank Designer document without artboard and make it large enough to see the largest image in full drop all files on the canvas to create Image layers File > Edit in Publisher select all Image layers Layer > Convert to Picture Frame (only available in Publisher, and we'll need this object type, just wait for it) switch to Designer persona (or to Designer, but APu's Designer persona has all the same tools so why bother) select the top layer (which is now a Picture Frame) Layer > Convert Object to Artboard (now available, ha!) unfortunately we can't convert all layers in one go, so: make sure you have handy keyboard shortcuts ready for Convert Object To Artboard, and Select > Select Previous Select Previous Convert Object to Artboard Select Previous Convert Object to Artboard etc.; this can be semi-automated via AppleScript/Automator/Keyboard Maestro and the like, so you'd type just one shortcut and the macro would type those two for you when finished converting picture frames to artboards, use Alignment button > Space horizontally/vertically; align as you see fit Voilà.

V2 has a very bright future. It seems the entire core of the software needed to fork to v2 to clear the way for 2.0 roadmap and shed eliminate whatever technical barriers existed in v1.
Considering the complexity of StudioLink, something even Adobe can’t replicate without rewriting 20+ years of legacy code stacked on legacy code across all of their apps, this release is pretty smooth.
Forums are never a reliable indicator of overall satisfaction because happy users are busy working. 
 
 
 

Hi just an idea, you could make a single laucher and based on the filename it lauches the specific app.
So you can just copy the same exe and name it apublaucher.exe for publisher or aphotolauncher.exe for Photo.
Or use a configfile.

There are problems and change the way the software behaves, so be careful.
 
You should be able to just doubleclick the msix file, it should start an app installer.
 
if not, the file assosiation might be missing for whatever reason?
Support should be able to assist.
 
Details: manual extraction does not rename some resource folders, leading to missing page templates like a4 a3 etc for example.
 
Second it us not running in sandbox mode and storing files in different lications than it would normally do!

I think it was hidden after some users reported that the technique described there wasn't working for them.

If you’ve purchased from the Affinity Store— each time you start the Affinity Store software it will check for updates and offer any available update. The latest update will install over the top of any earlier version, with no need to uninstall. You can download the latest installer by logging into the affinity store here and find the order in your account and use the "Download" button in there. Alternatively, this new release (and previous versions of Affinity Designer for Windows) can be downloaded from this link (that installer is NOT for Windows Store purchases and needs a product key).
If you’ve purchased from the Microsoft Store— Microsoft Store updates are done automatically by the operating system (each time you start the application). Interesting problem, @af-user. Good catch.
For me, it does not matter what kind of object is selected, and it will recreate with a simple shape object like a rectangle.
I find that:
Right-clicking on a style in the Style panel will select it. But to select it with a left-click, I must double-click quickly. Then it will be selected. Once a style is selected using the approach in step 1 or step 2, a single left-click on that style or any other style will apply the selected one. (Publisher beta, 1.9.0.874)

I have a GTX 1070, too and no problems.

Windows 10 (still 2004 no H2)

Except if a new team was put to work on requested features. That would affect feature development positively.
That being said that if the goal is that a purchase from the store is automatically downloaded then it makes sense for the many non tech savvy users you are probably trying to attract with Affinity. And the new generation of customers who did not grow up with Norton Commander and the like. I didn't try to log in in the apps - never will - but I am curious how the PDF documentation for the brushes is handled. How will the customer get access to it?
The feature will be especially interesting if:
Resources (fx brushes) are shared between all programs Brushes can actually be arranged, re-arranged, grouped and sorted inside the programs (in the panels) as requested many times Resource files are optimized more often - or perhaps split up into several files The new team will not run out of work. 🙂
