This is working as expected. Newly inserted text will always pick up the applied formatting at the caret position. You can turn off the feature in 'Preferences > Auto-correct > Superscript ordinals as they are typed' and instead apply them manually if you prefer.

Thanks. Alignment should be disabled if a stroke has Arrowheads, but also should be re-enabled if they are removed. I’ve brought this to he attention of the ‘Arrowheads Department’.

Hi moononthebones, It looks like this is due to this font only specifying its features for the 'Default' script. I've just checked and Publisher is not falling back to use the Default script if features are not specified for the expected or 'Automatic' script determined from the spelling language (for example English -> Latin). So, I think you've unearthed a bug in Publisher, but the good news is that you can access your OpenType features for the time being by manually switching the Typography Script to 'Default' in the Language section of the Character Panel.

We're investigating possibilities, probably to offer user options, as to how masters should be re-assigned (or not) in theses cases.

Hi PeterB, Thanks for reporting this. Absolutely there should be no rasterisation in the cases you've outlined. We are aware of the issue, why and what is going wrong, and it is down to be fixed with a high priority.

This should work - I've just tried it in the latest build and it seems fine. My best guess would be that your afphoto file is not completely transparent in the apparently transparent areas. If you post it we can take a look.
