The 1.8.1.610 beta builds of Photo and Designer for Windows have a potential fix for the issues reported here, including a preference for the way tablets function. Would any of you be able to install the beta and try it out and see whether it starts OK for you? Thanks for your patience. and the Photo equivalent

That is good news, Yes, there is a Designer beta with this change already

They were removed on purpose, however as some customers are missing them they will shortly be made available as a free download to optionally add those previously available stock brushes back in to the old categories. Please watch AffinitySpotlight.com over the coming days for a new article "Get legacy Affinity brushes" which will contain a link to these brush downloads

Do you mean the "Return" key on it's own (paragraph) or Shift+Return at the same time (soft return or newline)? For a soft return this is correct behaviour AFAIK.

Not in sync on Windows (1.8.1 APh /1.8.1 ADe /1.8.2 APu ) and yes in sync on Mac (1.8.2 APh /1.8.2 ADe /1.8.2 APu ), is my expectation because of the day one update on macOS (as walt says)

Try changing document units to pixels (in Designer or Publisher)

For PDF export, you would export "all pages" [which exports the document as single pages, rather than "all spreads" which is for reading facing pages as pairs], with crop marks and bleed, and the professional printers will/should take care of imposition themselves. More complicated impositions are left to specifically designed applications. If you are wanting to impose yourself then we provide for that in our print path. We offer Model: "Book" & "Booklet" that impose accordingly. (see the print preview for details)

@Damn (Daniel) Our beta builds (available to customers) have fixes in relation to blurry icons on macOS you can get them from the beta forum threads, linked to here Updates to the Affinity MAS releases (with clearer icons) should be made within a few weeks

@urbain I have split this from the announcement thread as it is not a good place to discuss problems. We are not aware of this problem, can you please tell me what Windows OS tou are using and any screen scaling (high DPI) setting you are running at ?

Thank you walt, fixed. Ironically that work around is also a bug because it is meant to save the template type in the new from snapshot and it's only because of an oversight that the workaround doesn't also crash.... 🤔

Sorry, you are correct. This was reported on Monday and will be fixed in the next beta builds. Avoid using those templates for now, and in the unlikely event you have used one and not yet crashed, the only workaround we have is to save a snapshot (in the snapshot panel) as a new file.

Yes this is exactly the problem @MrDoodlezz, editing a linked file outside of the application is unstable at the moment
