Create a template document Use the Mac to import a palette into the template document Use the iPad to create a new document based on the template. Placing the template in iCloud or some other network shared storage would help as well.

The temporary solution is to create a file with document palette on desktop, save the file and open it on iPad. 

Any Distortion, Warp, or Perspective distort features soon?  This year?  Any date release?  I need to know if I need to change apps.
What is everyone else doing to get around not having Distortion or Perspective distorts in Affinity Designer?
Any tips?
 
 
 

When I drag-and-drop JPG files into Affinity Designer 1.7.2, it seems that they are linked and not embedded. When the Designer file is saved, closed and then the original JPG files were removed (or moved), re-opening the Desginer file shows a "missing resources" dialog. Clicking "Resource Manager" on this prompt shows a Resource Manager that can be used to re-place the missing image.
 
However this Resource Manager dialog can't seem to be invoked from elsewhere in Designer, unless of course by making a linked image missing.
 
 

No, all images seem to be linked by default in Designer 1.7.2 for macOS.
No, I have not opened this document in Publisher.
Nevertheless I have a licensed copy and tried it out during the beta. However I keep my copy of Publisher on an external drive and not normally accessible. The drive wasn't even attached when I created this document or edit it.
I insert the image by dragging the file from the Finder and into Designer.

Is there a way to convert outlines to filled shapes? The reason behind it is that I'm creating icon glyphs and would like to use the compound shape to "disconnect" a few lines – whereas I can't do that with just an outline and probably would need to convert the line into a stroke.

Probably an obscure, low priority feature request, but here it is:
 
iOS7/8 is too fancy to use the standard circular rounded rect for icons. Instead favors the "superellipse"
 
I thought it would be cool to have "superellipse" along with Round, Concave, Straight, Cutout corner styles available in the Rounded Rectangle tool.  (but maybe its better as its own shape, rather than a corner type under rounded rect, I dunno.)
 
I did see a twitter post with the equation needed to make the proper corners to fit in on iOS 7.

I also request a vector eraser tool. If a person exports the drawing as a PDF, the vector that was erased is not as sharp. Masking is a great feature to have, but the line quality still weakens. Please consider this request.

I am requesting a vector eraser in 2016~~ Still learning AD but this should be a must have feature!

The graphic tablet eraser workflow is great and very intuitive but having the ability to edit a vector path after erasing would kick it up a notch. Sometimes you want to adjust you're shaking, hand drawn eraser stroke...

Just thought it'd be nice to have an eraser tool in the vector/curves persona. Being able to erase part of a vector shape is really nice feature when you don't want to be doing everything manually by using the pen tool.

13 months later, we would like to know where we can find the vector eraser. Is it only on the Common Feature Requests INDEX or hidden in the app?

Please let me easily transform any vector object. With a transform tool I could set the perspective right, and distort groups and other objects. 
For instance: I have a group of rectangles, and I want to transform and distort this group as if it was a line. 
I have a rectangle and I want to put it in perspective, or make a 3D effect. It would be great either have a transform tool similar to photoshop and the ability to select for instance the outer corners of a rectangle and option drag them towards the middle in the same amount. 
 
I definitely need a line tool. I want to edit every single bit of a line. I the ability to make a dashed or a dotted line. Of course I could use cmd-j, but I want it as a line so I can distort it. Also I want dashed lines for rectangles, etc. It would be great to turn a group of objects into a line, like when you have a couple of objects and you want to put them on a path and behave like they were a line.
