Feature Request: Ability to Rearrange Master Pages

Recommended Posts

If you mean on pages, just drag them up or down in the Layers panel, like you would with any other layer.

Could you show it somehow? In Win, Master pages are not displayed in the Layers panel.

How important is it?

Are you sure of that? (Or am I misunderstanding what you said?)

OP request: "rearrange the order of Master Pages".

Although I do not know why, but I assume that for some reason, he wants to change the order of Master Pages in Master Pages group (Pages panel).

Not the order of Master Pages associated with a particular Page. There is a rearrange obvious, that it would not be required.

I am referring to the Master page window, not the Layers panel. I'd like to organize my template thumbnails into number of photos on the template, but can't rearrange the order (stated in the documentation)

@Christine M

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

I understand what you mean, as I find this quite frustrating too.

Yes, I understand, Christine.

I was responding to Pšenda who said that on Windows the Master Pages are not displayed in the Layers panel.

And they are not, and their order cannot be changed :-)

True, there are no page thumbnails, but there are master page layer thumbnails which are similar in some ways. :)

And, their order on that page can be changed (that was the reason that @R C-R posted his comment, I believe). Just right-click the one you want to move up or down in the layer stack, choose Edit Detached, then select and drag it. That's useful in some cases discussed in other forum topics.

But as we know it's not what Christine wanted, it's not relevant to answering her question.
