I am using Windows 10 Pro with Affinity Photo 1.7.0.333 Beta. I was in the photo persona and clicked on Quick Mask. Using the paintbrush with the color white selected I painted out the area I wanted to be selected. I then clicked on the adjustments icon and clicked on Shadow/Highlights and Affinity Photo crashed! It closed completely with no chance to save your work. I tried this several times clicking on different adjustments and always with the same results, it crashes.

Hello @MEB
How Watcher 900 writes, it does not matter, whether a live filter layer or an adjustment, one click is enough and AP crashes, without error report .

Cheers

I'm finding it does not crash using Adjustment Layers, but it does crash using a Live Filter.

I just downloaded 1.7.0.367 and it no longer crashes as it did before. I noticed that Quick Mask now has options to "snap to edges" and "refine" available I didn't notice those options before. Now when you activate Quick and brush out a selection and try to use a "Live Filter" it will crash.

The crash is generated when the mask is displayed as an overlay and no selection appears (running ants)

@Gnobelix

Ok, the OP states that the QM was painted on which creates a selection. For me it no longer crashes using Adjustment Layers following the OP's steps.

Using Adjustment Layers while the QM is active, still does not crash the program. It does what I think should be the correct behavior, exits the QM. If I paint on the QM, a selection is created, and when selecting an Adjustment Layer, it exits the QM, leaving the selection. Live Filter's however, do crash the program, with or without painting/creating a selection. I noticed that your running Win10 Pro, where I'm on the Home version, wonder if that's got something to do with why you're still getting crashes using Adjustment Layers. :42_confused:
