reminous
H there, I wish we could rename the artboards when doubling click over its name direct from the canvas instead depending on the layer panel to do so... It would be much more intuitive! Reminous Aammppaa, Lmpessoa, Frozen Death Knight and 4 others
WhiteX
This feature request needs more attention! In most other design software that I use beside AD, I just double-click on the artboard names then I can rename them. Vry quick, very intuitive. When I get back to Affinity and want to do the same, nothing happens, then I remember, that's not a feature here. Aammppaa
+1 Just makes the user experience that bit nicer. Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro
euronesia
Agree, this is really simple feature request but somehow it would be really useful and will speed up the workflow..
Columbo
+1 This looks technically feasible and would enhance user experience by a lot. Currently you have to click on the artboard on the canvas, then go to the layers list, double-click (or sometimes triple-click because click detection is a bit finicky in the side panels) the artboard's name, wait for the text input to open, enter the new name, press enter, wait for a black flash on the layers panel and continue with the next artboard. It can become tiresome on large documents. Whereas on-canvas renaming would be as easy as double-clicking the artboard's name, entering the new one and you're done. Catshill
Am I missing something? I rename the artboard by clicking its name on the canvas and entering it. I don’t touch the layer panel.

Strange in Mac version doesn't work like that, we have to rename it in layers panel. I wasn't expecting that there will be feature difference between Windows & Mac version... reminds me of Microsoft Office... Any updates on that @Affinity team? Catshill
Terribly sorry folks. I've just tried it and indeed, the only way to rename the artboard is via the layers panel. I must have dreamt it!
