A_B_C
Choose Import brushes … from the little "burger" menu on the brushes panel … :) And don’t underestimate the Help files (Help > Workspace > Panels > Brushes Panel) … okay, it’s a bit hidden … ;) MattP
MrSock
Choose Import brushes … from the little "burger" menu on the brushes panel … :) And don’t underestimate the Help files (Help > Workspace > Panels > Brushes Panel) … okay, it’s a bit hidden … ;) Thanks! What is the type of file I need for importing? (ex: .jpg, .exe, stuff like that)
A_B_C
Hm, you can only import .afbrushes files that way … like raster brushes, usable in Pixel Persona, for instance: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/2422-daub-comics-basic-set-for-affinity-designer/ Or vector brushes, usable in Draw Persona, for example: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/5700-fur-and-hair-brushes/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/3790-new-free-ezine-–-affinity-review/ Creating custom brushes from image files is a entirely different affair … Cheers, Alex

irish14500
Out of curiosity, what file format are Affinity brushes presets? And can you export into other graphic applications such as Corel Painter or Photoshop? Can you edit the extensions to make them interchangeable? Alfred
Affinity brushes use a proprietary file format, so you can’t use them in other programs. Changing the file extension wouldn’t make them interchangeable: that would be rather like naming your cat Fido and expecting it to turn into a dog. irish14500
This "proprietary file format" can't be opened and edited or customized for export for personal use or offered for downloading to other users? Ok, they are afbrushes presets as opposed to abr or nib.
