Possible causes, Incorrect or failed installations or uninstallations from a software, invalid entries in the windows registry, consequences of a virus or malware attack, improper shutdown of the system, etc. Here is a link that maybe help. In the worst case, a reinstallation of Windows. Good luck with the repair. Good question, the installation of AP under Windows XP abort with the following message "affinity-photo.exe is not a valid Win32 application" If it's like that, I am not surprised by the above error message.
