“Exclude from Snapping” does not work

Recommended Posts

Kind of counter intuitive in that they snap to guides and margins etc but other objects won't snap to them. They got it half right. Make another object and see if it snaps to the ones with it off.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

That is interesting,  and it works the same way in Designer, by the way (i.e., it's not an addition,  just a well-hidden option that I had never seen).

An object that is "excluded from snapping" is not a snapping candidate for other objects.

Ha! This is hilarious. I have never seen this option before. :D

And given the current functionality, I would suggest that you rename this option to “Snapping target” with a tick mark (default: ticked).

As for a bug, the @2x crossed magnet icon is used on non-Retina screens in Publisher.

I think the wording is what is causing the confusion as it does seem to suggest it is excluding the object from snapping in general but what it is actually doing is excluding it as a snapping candidate. The tooltip doesn't really help either o.O
