Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Bentleg. :)

You say you’re blown away?? I think you should leave that to lesser mortals like me, who (despite using AD on iPad since its release, and AD on desktop before that) can only dream of producing results like that.

not sure what to do next now

A motorbike, perhaps, or your favourite musical instrument, or a cutaway view of a watch or a camera lens? It’s hard to make meaningful suggestions without knowing what your interests are!

Wow! Incredible work that looks so realistic! I’ve been contemplating getting an iPad Pro but can’t decide on which one...What specs is your iPad Pro?

Thank you!. it's a 12.9 second generation

Do you like the 12.9? I’ve been debating and I’m leaning towards the 12.9...how many GB if you don’t mind me asking?

Yeah love the screen size, the extra real estate while you draw if fantastic, if you can afford the extra you won’t be disappointed.. mine is a 256GB I only got that size because I ditched my MacBook Pro.

I only have a humble iPad Air 2, but I’m glad I opted for the 64 GB version. I like the small size and low weight for easy handheld use, and if I were to upgrade to a Pro model I would probably be more than happy with the extra amount of ‘real estate’ offered by a 10.5″ screen, but everyone’s needs are different.

Thanks for your input! Ya I definitely want a 10.5” minimum I think...such a tough decision lol

Yea I’m in a predicament where essentially my MacBook needs to be repaired because the keyboard and trackpad are no longer responsive. Apple deemed it a hardware problem and it’s about 4 yrs old and around a $500 repair...I can use it from home with an external keyboard/mouse though. But I miss the portability of being able to do my work elsewhere. So idk if I want to just use it from home until the external keyboard/mouse no longer work and go for the iPad for the portability...or what...I’m strongly contemplating a 12.9” but I can’t tell if I should go for the 256 GB...realistically I probably should. Financially I’m hesitant on upgrading to the 256 lol!

I'm currently at that awkward decision point to decide to upgrade or not. My 2012 MacBook Pro is still solid for another year or so but I could use some extra power for bigger projects. And now with the Affinity range released on iOS the iPads also come in play. I might go for an iPad first and maybe later a new MacBook.

How would you rate the power of the new iPads compared to (older) MacBooks in regard to the Affinity products? Would love to try some of my (Photo) work on an iPad lol.

Sorry im not much help on this one, i've never had or used any affinity programs before doing this, so i can't really compare.....

But the Ipad & Designer handled this very well, better than i expected it would if im totally honest.

Cheers
