R C-R
Make sure View > Studio > Layers has a checkmark next to it. softie3287
In the view section I have the layers panel checked. But I still can't find it. It won't let me select it. My cat stepped on my laptop
Staff Dan C Posted August 9, 2021 Staff Share Posted August 9, 2021 Hi @softie3287, Welcome to the Affinity Forums It's most likely that your cat has accidentally hit the 'TAB' key, which hides the apps UI. You can re-enable this by pressing the TAB key once again, or by using View > Toggle UI. I had to install a cat bed on my desk, to try and stop my cat from sleeping on my keyboard... but it doesn't always stop her!😸 PaulEC, Komatös and Alfred 3 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! Russell Crow
If you hit CNTL+Shift+H, it hides Studio. Go to View/Studio and unclick Hide Studio, then click all the panels you want to see, one should be Layers for sure.

I read somewhere a study that cats are trying to mimic human behaviour, so your cats just want to support you or your design was horrible. There could be more in a cats mind than we imagine, e.g. described in Felidae. bksldr7
NEW TO AFFINITY DESIGNER-I just had my layers/history/navigation panel disappear. There is no Studio entry in the View menu in Affinity Designer. as there is in Affinity Photo Toggling the UI does not bring it back. How do I get the right window with layer/history/navigation panels back? affinity designer view menu.pdf
