Clawiste Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Hi, I would love to see ability to group/search/order symbols in symbols palette, for example currently I'm working on UI kit and there are a bunch of symbols and it would significantly reduce a time searching for a specific symbol Thank you! jarombrand Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 +1 I'd also like to be able to delete more than one symbol at a time Quote
QuietDesign Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 +1Would also be nice to have a 'replace symbol' feature. Selecting a symbol currently on the art board and replace the symbol with one in the symbols library. Quote
Schubi63 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 +1 a huge: YES! I'm totally missing any option to organize the symbols, like: - sorting (automatically by name, create date or manually) - replace (like QuietDesign mentioned above) would be a great time saver. But I would go a step further - not only replacing a symbol by another symbol - just any object could be replaced. In my workflow it happens often, that I create e.g. a logo or whatever, duplicate an artboard go on with my work ... and on some point I realize that it would be better to have that object (logo) as a symbol would be great. Currently I can create a symbol out of one of my used logos but have to replace each one afterwards with the symbol. That has a big potential to save work time, if I just have to select all desired object and popup the context menu and choose an option like "replace by symbol" - that's it. zantafio Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 +100 !! As soon as you have more than wo dozens of symbols it shows its shortcomings Quote
zantafio Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Also I would love to be able to drag a symbol from the symbol palette into the layers palette Quote
pixy Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I'm using version 1.8 and it seems the Symbols feature has not been updated over the past 4 years. 😞 I have around 50 symbols in my list and cannot reorder them in a more logical way. They are listed in the order I created them initially. This is a real usability problem. Is there a chance to see an update anytime soon? Luzifr 1 Quote
HeiligerBimBam Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 The symbols feature are so powerful, but becomes unmanagable when the library growed. Please, please, please add the same options we already have for assets! Quote
shushustorm Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 +1 It would be great to be able to manually reorder Symbols. Right now, I can't change their order, which, when working with a lot of Symbols, gets confusing fast. Maybe even different options would be useful: - Order manually - Order by name - Order by layer depth - Order by time created (right now, default and, in my opinion, least useful) transitdiagrams and Intuos5 2 Quote

Intuos5 Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Agreed, this request is still relevant for 2.1. Reordering, a search bar and grouping would all be very nice. Quote
AJackson Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 +1 I would like to have the ability organise symbols into groups. Luzifr 1 Quote
ARulewich Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Adding my support for this imo necessary feature! Quote
