Website Performance extremly bad

Dear Affinity,

 

since the updater of the forum the performance is extremely bad.

It takes 3 seconds before the first part (index.php) is loaded, and 5 seconds for the full site to load.

If you use the thread view, it takes more than 11 seconds.

Making it worse, every navigation lets you continue to wait.

I tested the website from different devices like Mac, Windows, iPad, iPhone, using different internet connections (Mobile 5G, dark fibre 1 Gbit, home, office Internet 1 Gbit/sec, public WLAN etc.

It was a tad better when I stayed in London last week but it is one of the worst performance of any commercial websites I use.

Please improve the performance of the forum website and allow faster navigation.

Sadly, I have to agree with that (on Mac with Safari 17, as well from France or from Belgium).

I’ve noticed a significant slowdown in the Unread Content page load time since the mid-October site update, too. It’s frustrating.

It must be a very small sloth or a very large tub of peanut butter! I’d wonder how the sloth managed to get the lid off, and anyways I wouldn’t want to eat the peanut butter after that.
