Can I assume this is the EXE installer (not the MSIX one) as you have not specified

No problem for me, using Norton.

Most likely a false positive from BitDefender, but potentially a corrupted download. If you right-click on the .exe in File Explorer, and select Properties, do you have a Digital Signature tab in the Properties panel? If not, the download was corrupted in-transit.

In case it's of any value ... Designer and Photo both failed to complete the upgrade when they were blocked by Bitdefender. Planning to start over, I uninstalled Publisher. (Both Designer and Photo seemed to be uninstalled after the failed upgrade. Did not check/verify that their folders had been deleted.)

For grins, I ran the same .exe installers again; all three installed no problem. One difference, and no clue if it's related, the first time I ran them, I right-clicked and did "Run as administrator." The second time, I ran them normally, e.g., just double clicked.

Windows 11, Bitdefender, both up to date, Affinity .exe files downloaded today, 3/1/23

Now, off to check out the updates.

Like the rest, Bit Defender blocked my .exe install.
Downloaded straight from Serif.
Digital signitures were present.

Simpy disabled Bitdefender and they all installed without a problem.
Re-enabled Bitdefender and all is now sweetness and light.
I hope Serif wil contact Bitdefender over this false positive.

It is a false positive, seems to be an issue with bitdefender as no issues with Windows Security with either the .EXE or, of course, the APP.

Ah brilliant - I haven't heard back yet but they did say a signature update would be within 72 hours so I'm pretty impressed. I informed them that our builds change on a weekly basis so they cannot just whitelist the one I submitted. I'm hoping all future builds will be fine.
