I want to compose lists where the bullet is outside of the paragraph, typically known as hanging bullet points, something like this:

    text text text
    text text text
    text text text

  · list item 1
  · list item 2
  · list item 3

    text text text
    text text text
    text text text

Right now it's possible only if I indent everything and remove the indentation for the lists. That's a hack, not a proper workflow.

Hanging anything would be nice. Ability to push certain elements outside text frame would add a lot of flexibility to design work.

I agree with both @Elio on this request and on Fixx's additional comment for broadening the scope of the request. I could work around to achieve a similar look, but flexibility (as Fixx pointed out) makes for a smoother experience to quickly get to a given end result.

+1!
Essentially, all it needs is allowing negative values for First Line Indent.

Workaround:
Decorations!

At least for bullet type of lists:

Workaround (?*) #2:
Optical Alignment!

Take that, SchminDesign!

*) Actually a workflow. Vive la différence.
