Boolean Operations Errors!

Hi,

I think that boolean operations is wrong. The results for some operations isn't correct! See the subtract below!

Agreed there are some very strange things going on here that the developers need to look at closely.

There is also an issue with the Boolean Divide operation

Not sure where the curve has come from.

This only started with the new version.  I might reinstall an older version and wait for the bugs to be ironed out.

 

Mods - do you have any idea when they'll have updates for the Windows Version out?

Regarding the Divide issue - that is slightly separate and MattP has said that this still requires a lot of work. Regarding a Windows update, we do currently have a 1.8.1 beta available, however this missed the boolean improvements Matt made (no divide changes as of yet), but those will be coming soon.

Thanks Sean - look forward to a bug free update.  The new features in 1.8 are pretty cool.

I've rolled back to version 1.7 for the time being.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Subtract boolean gives incorrect results) of the program in the latest release.

In this case the division does not seem to be corrected in v.1.8.

Since the 1.9 upgrade, I'm not able to perform a Boolean divide operation using an imported png file.  Before, I could convert the png to raster and divide from a shape.  In the case of dividing from a curve, I could expand stroke and divide, but neither operation is working properly.  I'm also experiencing a lot of program crashes.   I'm using a MacOS Catalina 10.15.7.

Desde muito tempo o Affinity designer vem acontecendo esse defeito, os programadores não estão conseguindo resolver isso, muito estranho.
