transitdiagrams Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Hey! I am not sure this is a bug or this is by design but for me it seems to be an inconsistency. See the animation. If you hide an instance of a symbol all others get hidden too. I don't expect this to happen because if you delete an instance of a symbol all the others don't get deleted. Should be the same with hiding in my opinion. Sometimes I have to hide only a single or several instances of a symbol but I can't do it and have to delete it instead... Maybe this could be changed in future? All the best, Chris Quote PS: If you like maps you might also have a look at this community!PPS: Want to know more about me and my ways? Thanks - works fine but still it's a work around which should not be necessary. Brian_J Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 This appears to still be an issue. When I hide an instance of a symbol, all instances are hidden. Evgeny Katyshev and transitdiagrams 2 Quote Windows 10 22H2 | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)
Kochab Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Still an issue as of 2 years later, but another workaround is to click the symbol, click the symbol tab, click the Sync button to unsync the symbol, and then you can hide it. But you won't be able to resync the hide/unhide after that. transitdiagrams and Evgeny Katyshev 2 Quote
transitdiagrams Posted September 11, 2022 Author Posted September 11, 2022 would be really nice to have this fixed Evgeny Katyshev and Brian_J 2 Quote PS: If you like maps you might also have a look at this community!PPS: Want to know more about me and my ways? muxauy Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 (edited) How is this still an issue almost five years later? 😒 Edited October 18, 2024 by muxauy Brian_J and Megnusin 2 Quote
Pšenda Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Unfortunately - this bug is really annoying, and significantly degrades the usability of symbols, which is a real shame.
