  1. I find that everytime I need to design a header, I find myself scrounging for the latest, least confusing article with facebook's updated size specs and personal tricks to get Facebook's resizing to look halfway decent. In all lilkelyhood, something similar happens to others, with FB or other digital platforms. It would be useful for Facebook, Instagram, and any other commonly designed-for platforms and applications, to be available as presets. Besides standard sizing, export presets, such as JPG for instagram, or 2x size for facebook on retina displays, would also save time and make life easier. I like how Affinity has presets for different devices. This would be an extension to that, with Web Apps / Social Media / or some other category encompasing this group, as I'm only mentioning a couple platforms that come to mind at this moment. Much like we design for physical devices, we're also increasingly designing for digital environments and some are common enough that they might warrant a quick access within Affinity, in my experience and opinion. Cheers!
  2. Hey everyone! It would be great if there was an option to save and load presets for documents. For example, this would avoid having to type in a specific resolution each time when creating a new document. Best wishes, Shu
  3. Hi, would you be so kind and make Procedural Textures' Presets -> Live?
  4. I was wondering if Affinity Photo offers a capability to edit one photo ,and use it as a preset to instantly edit multiple photos with that preset for time-lapse purposes. In lightroom you can do it ,but can you do it in Affinity Photo?
  5. It is great to have the ability to save presets in the layer adjustments, but I cannot find any option to load these presets  I read in the help/manual and it says "right click" within the adjustment window, but nothing happens on a right click. How can I load a preset???

    HDR Presets

Hi there, i am looking for importable HDR Presets. Thanks Stefan
  7. Affinity photo has presets for many things that will affect a photo. Can these presets be copied from one affinity photo to another? Is there was a way that you could sync the installation of your desktop affinity to your laptop so that moving from one to the other would be seamless?

  9. The New Document preset seems to default to the last page created. It's graet that I can set Colour format and profile at this stage as well as page size etc but there needs to be a preset so that I can create regualr page sizes with one click e.g. CMYK A4, or RGB 1024 x 720 etc. There seems to be no preferences setting to do this.
  10. I've recently started using the batch feature to speed up my workflow. I had a few recordings saved in the library but the other day I went to use one and poof...they were gone. I couldn't even see the default presets. Thinking that maybe it was a glitch I tried replicating one I'd made (I needed to edit a group of photos). Once I'd completed it I tried to save it to my library....nothing. No popup window no nothing, like the link had been cut. I tried resetting the program but it didn't resolve the issue. I dont know if I deleted the batch folder or something by accident, but regardless it's not working and I need this feature for my business. Can someone please help me??????
  11. Hello there, how can i restore my pdf presets (for exporting pdf files) after re-install affinity designer. Before the re-install i ve zipped the Library/Containers/com.serifslabs.affintitydesigner folder. Should i simply overwrite the the folder? Thanks in advance.
  12. Hello! Is there anywhere I can download more tone map presets? Thank you so much!
  13. Hello, I have been using these presets for all of my automotive photography and I normally filter through 3-500 shots from each event and these have saved me a lot of time. I hope they help you all as well. CARZRFUN_LLC_Presets.zip
  14. Hi there, all, Since the APhoto update from version 1.5 to version 1.6, (on Windows 10) some issues have arisen and some of them are resolved. But the "Presets" in Tone Mapping Persona are no longer available. In the folder %ProgramFiles%\Affinity\Affinity Photo\Resources\Affinity\Photo\1.0\User is "tone_map.propcol" in there indeed. This with a date/time stamp from the last day I used this. Also is in Tone Mapping Persona mode, than Vieuw > Studio the option "Presets" ticked. So the panel for Presets on the left of the screen is available, but no Presets in there. And then I do'nt know anymore. Any idee where I can download this presets, so I can import these? Or maybee better, can you export yours (i saw that's possible too) send it to me, so I can import it; if this is possible of course Thanks so far. Sincerely Ton Den Bosch The Netherlands
  15. Hi I use a SpyderPro calibrator and chart on all lenses for my Canon 5DMkiii. I'm using Affinity Photo 1.6.7 - is there support for importing and/or creating presets for these calibrations? Also, a related question: does Affinity recognise the camera's "Picture Style" settings? I have a customised "neutral" set that avoids the camera software process. Retaining these features in the colour management workflow is an important factor in the precise reproduction of product colour.
  16. Missing in Photo: more options for output format in export (important for TIFF - more compatibility with old software) BMP export on/off dither for rasterizing tolerance option for "Selection brush tool" user presets for all filters snapping for "Crop tool" circle overlay in "Crop tool" "Mesh warp tool" for curves (without rasterizing) "Warp text" like in Photoshop "Invert mask" function base RGB adjustment (3 trackbars with range -255 - + 255 (in 8 bit)) adjustment presets in DESIGNER Thanks for considering proposals.
  17. Version 1.6.4.104 For Windows Brush: Ink (included with download brush) Today I've run in with a lot of (counting on four) sudden program closings within an hour and a half or so. Just... gone- the window just disappears as I'm working. I've also been trying to get the presets to stay on a specific brush and color, but the most it keeps is the color of the stoke (I'm not using fill). (I've tried reverting defaults and syncing multiple times, won't keep the brush.) Curves also seem to auto-clip. I've noticed they manually change shape at some bends/between points by shape with the brush I'm working with- my issue is different though: depending on how I've zoomed on the curve, the appearance is different. It could be connected by a solid line at one percentage, and have sharp missing points/breaks in the line at others. (Some examples below.)
  18. Hi! I have some presets defined, but I found, that changing from one preset to another, changes picture, but not all values in Affinity Photo (some changes, but i.e. color balance not). It can be misleading. Is that how presets works? Any changes in next versions?
  19. I'm using Affinity Photo 1.6.6 on an iMac running OS X 10.12.6 and have a question about creating crop presets. I've created some which I thought were constrained, but when I use them the crops are not constrained. I can't delete these presets either. I'm pretty sure I was able to create some presets that actually were constrained, and these I could delete. I've tried re-launching Affinity Photo with the control key pressed to clear the crop presets, but these un-constrained presets remain. I'm not sure what I might have done to create these presets that are not constrained and I would like to delete them if possible. How can insure my presets will be constrained when I create them, and how can get I delete these unconstrained presets. Thanks!! Ed
  20. I'm starting the trial version of affinity photo. I noticed that the shadows/highlights adjustment resets every time I start a new document, so I created a preset of the adjustment that I wanted to use on several documents. The only problem is that I can't figure out where to find the preset. I expected a drop down menu when I opened up the shadows/highlight adjustment the next time, but the only option was to create a new preset. Then I thought my preset might be listed in the adjustments menu. Nope. Where can I find it? Another great option to help with the problem would be the ability to copy a layer style from the layers panel and then apply it to a different layer. Maybe this is already possible (I hope) and it just doesn't work the way that I am used to doing it. Thanks in advance for your help.
  21. Hi there, is it really as i can see in the "new document" window... There is no user defined preset possible? Not in Affinity Designer or Photo! I can not save a preset for Facebook-Headers or Instagram-Images or whatever ...? And over all, i do not understand how the settings window works. The default is "Type" = Foto. When i change the measures to 1920px*1080px the type selector changes to "Web"??? When i change the Type to "Devices" there is no Broadcast or TV ...? I am really confused about that So, my request is: Please check this dialog box (settings) that it makes really sense for all possibilities :-( Regards Mischugo
  22. I'm sure this is going to be a simple answer that I have just not been able to find for myself but I'm tearing my hair (what little there is left) out over this. How do I create custom document types and page presets that I can pick from the new document dialogue in Designer? I have never picked one of the builtin types, they are just not sizes I ever need to use but there are a couple of dozen other sizes I use a lot that I am forever having to look up the settings for as I switch between them. Blog featured image, facebook cover picture, icon, forum avatar, that sort of thing. I'd like to save them in their own document type, with their own page presets, I just can't find where I can add them.
  23. Hey there community and Affinity devs, some time ago I asked the developers via Facebook if there's an option to keep the adjustment presets like gradient maps, imported and saved LUT files, levels, curves – pretty much everything in the "Adjustment"-palette/tab that you may have generated and saved there over time. Back then (August 2015) you would need to save them separately, because you'd loose them with the next update – at least that's what happened to me twice – after that I was more cautious about those files. Anyway, I got a pretty helpful response: I was told there's a file called adjustments.propcol in the directory /Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/Data/Library/Application Support/user/ and it would contain all of my adjustments – and it's true! You can save that file and put it back there after each update to preserve your custom presets. Tough I guess it's been solved since a few updated ago because I haven't done it after a couple of times. Last year I purchased the Win-version of Affinity Photo as well and just now I'm starting to wonder: How to transfer adjustment presets from one system (Mac) to another (Win) and is this possible in the first place? So if anyone knows the answer or a workaround that doesn't involve loading everything manually I'd be pretty thankful. Greetings Dennis
  24. One of the great things about Photoshop is its actions. There is a big market in this that is a real challenge for Affinity to crack. Other programs, such as On1 Photo Raw, have very easy to use presets. Affinity seems in its early days with basic macros and single-adjustment presets. However this also means that there is opportunity to overtake Adobe with a more sophisticated 'recipe' system. Things to include: Scalable images of recipes as applied. Nested system so you are not faced with all recipes at once yet can have many on tap without overwhelm as you search for the one you want. Use of tags so you can search as well as browse for recipes. The ability to edit recipes, possibly in a text format. Ability to post a pop-up box at any time, including for choices, sliders and simple text messages. It's possible that a new format is needed for this, beyond presets and macros. [historical note: back in the 80s I implemented a macro system on an HP wordprocessor. Customers loved it. It was also really helpful as an automatic test system!]
  25. I'd like to suggest the curves sub panel under Tones in the Develop Persona have the input / output values displayed for given points. In addition, I'd like this panel to include an 'editor' feature, whereby the option of entering the numerical values for each point on the curve. It would also be appreciated if the x and y axis (0-255) could be delimitated in 10ths like Photoshop. Either replacing quarter tones, or, in addition to the quarter tones. :) Nick
