  1. Entered a retouch contest for Affinity photo for the ipad and actually won. Here is the winning photo after retouch with layers to show that i used my ipad
  2. It's me again, just wrote a quick test (in French) on the Astropad iOS app with Affinity Photo. http://www.photographes.tv/Transformer-votre-iPhone-en-tablette-graphique-avec-Astropad-Mini-_a1617.html richarre
  3. Made with Affinity Photo and Designer complete on the iPad Pro (Also used After Effect + Rough Animator for motion graphic) While studying at SAE for my Bachelor of Design, I got the opportunity to work on a re-brand and advertisement campaign for Wokka. (The following body of work is for university work only and are not for a real camping) The campaign is focused around 3 main posters that follow the story of the Dinosaur challenging the Ninja to a fight (Poster 1) so they go to the battlefield in order to fight (Poster 2) Tho they realized that neither one of them knew how to fight, so they ended it on the dance floor. The Ninja won the battle and the dinosaurs did not like this so he takes the ninja into hiding. After a couple of weeks after the posters go up a new poster he be put up over the past posters along in other area's and within the online place, this poster is a "Ninja missing poster" on the back will give some information and a QR code to give information to the "player" about the "transmedia" game where the "player" will need go around the "real world" with the Wokka app taking photos of the ninja's clothes, ninja sword, ninja star along with the use of information around online such as youtube video, Reddit posts, forum posts and more to help give information to the ninja's location, bringing the community together for a single goal. To help find the ninja's location in order for the first 5 people who find him and take a photo to get one year supply of Wokka noddles and to start of 50% off and double points for Wokka products. 4. I am trying to even out the skin tone on the arm of my son. This photo was taken at the Salt Flats in Utah with a manual lense, so there is glare and a lack of super sharpness in the original photo. It was a quick spontaneous moment that I was lucky to catch. I am not that concerned about those issues. My concern is the abrupt skin tone change on my son’s arm due to the taning of the lower arm. My attempts to match the skin tone only succeed if I allow the tatoos to fade dramatically. I would like to have the tatoos remain dark but the skin tone lighten up. I would prefer to know the proper steps to do this as opposed to someone doing it for me. I am asking for help so that I learn more about using Affinity Photo on my iPad. Thank All.
  5. Hi everyone, here is my latest illustration made in Affinity Designer for iPad. Connect with me on Dribbble if you are Dribbbler: https://dribbble.com/shots/4859882-YOLO Thanks for your time!!
  6. I’m not really sure what it’s for, but trying to learn AD on iPad Pro.. it’s super fun! Scrolls are drawn in Procreate, but I’ll try to do them again in AD. I think that can be a good learning curve.. Any feedback is welcome :-)
  7. Produced my first action figure photo shoot So much easier than working with real people! Action figure was photographed by me on a miniature photo studio I built, and lit with speed lights fired remotely using radio triggers. The background is stock. All elements were composited in Affinity Photo on my 10.5" iPad Pro.
  8. Here is the final image that I was having the crashing issue with a couple days ago. 100% iPad Pro with Affinity Photo. Hope ya like.
  9. I've been using Affinity Photo and Designer since nearly their respective launch dates, and I continue to hold hight hopes for this company and it's products. I recently decided to begin a transition to an entirely mobile workflow, utilizing an iPad Pro 10.5, Affinity Photo, and any additional apps needed to do the work I wish to do. I'm almost a week into my new mobile journey, and I'm not only blown away by this setup, I have little desire to work on anything else. Can't wait to see how AF for iPad improves! If the app devs are reading this... ADD MASK REFINEMENT IN PHOTOS PERSONA, PLEASE! Anyway, here's a 6-image composite of my niece on her Jurassic Easter Egg Hunt.
  10. OK, I'm in love with AP on my 10.5 iPad Pro. A bit buggy, and I've crashed it about a dozen times in 24 hours but... It's a great start and I'm diggin' it so far. Here's a quick wedding photo edit. 100% iPad and Affinity Photo.
  11. My first painting with affinity photo on my iPad pro .
  12. HEY Hows everyone doing on here..... I wanted to share some of my work but figured since its my first post I'd share a little about myself as well. Im new to the whole Affinity program but Ive been a Hi-End retoucher for over the past 9 years. Currently Im a retouching manager in New York specializing in beauty and Product retouching. At work we're using the Top of the Line MAC's fully spec'd out with the "industry standard" photoshop ....... BUT I've been looking for something equally as capable as photoshop but mobile! AND HERE's where AFFINITY comes in... This thing is amazing! Every time I use it I find myself going back to work the next day with another "Guess what else affinity Does" story. lol. Im shocked It can handle the files it does and I'm sure its only going to get better from here. Ive been quietly looking around on this forum and all ready see SO many talented people. So I hope to bring some of my perspective from someone who uses photoshop all day at work. But then AFFINIY for my personal on the go projects. Some info on the file - Theres over 60 layers of just umbrellas and shadows! (ZERO Slow down in app). The file closed is about 400mb but opened its 1.18gb. This was shot with my Dji Mavic Pro. Completely edited start to finish in AFFINITY Photo for Ipad Pro
  13. I decided to do some nighttime photographing in my hometown with my iPhone7 and my tripod. I used the NightCap Pro app for these shots. The dark exposure (2) was shot at ISO100, f/1.8, 25s to protect the highlights and the bright exposure (1) was shot at ISO1000, f/1.8, 25s. I believe the iPhone 7 can only take long exposures of about 3s, so what this app basically does is stacking several photos for noise reduction and ISO controls the brightness of the photo. Nevertheless I was pretty amazed by what is possible with current smartphone cameras! I blended the dark and the bright exposure in Affinity Photo for iPad to bring some details in the highlights, especially for the windows on the right of the image. Then some color correcting, white balance, etc. and some dodging and burning. I wanted a warm image, because I am thinking of using this photo as a Christmas postcards for my family and friends - so I still need to do some lettering... Anyways, it was fun to do and I learned a lot about Affinity Photo for iPad and my iPhone 7... Best regards, Wetterhoun
  14. Thinking back about the great paintings of Rothenburg o/d Tauber in the local museum, I got inspired and made my own "painting" of Rothenburg o/d Tauber with Affinity Photo for iPad. I have blended two photos, the one with the bush and the stars was shot with my Canon 80D and the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 a couple of weeks ago, not far from where I live. The one with the prison tower of Rothenburg (Der Strafturm) I had shot during an overcast day with my iPhone7, when I was visting this awesome medieval town in Germany last summer. Because the light was rather flat, I knew it was a good photo to do some blending with. This was a great opportunity for me to learn a lot of things about blending with Affinity Photo on my iPad Pro. Love this app! Best regards, Wetterhoun
  15. Hallo AFPhoto Team and all, i love this App im a Prof.. Photographer and the Last Years i work only with PHotoshop, but now i have the 13 IPad Pro and i need to tell u Work GREAT with my 80 MP Camera from Phase One THX for this Software..
  16. This was an image taken on Fraishthorphe Beach on the east coast of England. Processed in Affinity Photo on the iPad I was able to create a hi-key finish thus isolating the riders from the otherwise fairly boring background. The hint of the beach still exists in the foreground from the ridges and shadows farmed by the sand. The final step was to de-saturate and adjust the contrast.
  17. Hey guys, I thought I'd post a few of my paintings after using Affinity on my new iPad with the Apple Pencil. Im loving this app for painting on weekends as I use Photoshop on a daily basis for my work as a concept artist/matte painter for film and TV. Im still getting the hang of it but it's fun.
  18. Here is my first attempt at a self portrait using Affinity Photo on the iPad Pro with Pencil. Still needs some perfecting! It's such a great combination and will allow me to progress and experiment a whole lot more.
  19. -Survivor Another composite created in Affinity Photo for iPad, made up of about 7 images, went really dark on this one for some reason! *Edit: I've updated the image, this is version 3, I've made a few edits to the original Allan
  20. Here's another, created using Affinity Photo for iPad... made up of 5 images. Seriously, why is this so addictive! Allan Thompson
  21. Here is one I'm calling 'Taken', created on Affinity photo for iPad. Made up of 4 or so images. I've not spent much time using Photo lately due to working on the books in Designer but the iPad version makes it so much more fun especially when using Apple Pencil. Allan Thompson
