Dear Affinity-Team! I'm very impressed by the iPad version of your apps. Sadly I do "only" own a Microsoft Surface (Tablet). You can run Affinity Photo and Designer on it but sometimes it is a big pain in the ass to be not able to take full advantage of the power your programs offer. Especially without a cover and a mouse only equipped with the Surface Pen, it is difficult to get buttons right. For that reason, it would be just awesome to have a surface version with all those fantastic features and as intuitive as the iPad version. I hope to hear positive news soon. I'm trying to draw this tree (PSD attached) and you can see that the branches and dark grey area are clipped into the orange layer. I used a vector brush stroke to create the branches and after I export them to Photoshop, they're rasterized. Is it because of the masking or is it because it's a stroke? Also, not sure why the dark grey area rasterized as well. Are there other ways I could have done this differently? Sorry if it's not my best description - I'm just confused. Untitled (1).psd -

It looks like the Affinity Designer Workbook is offered at a discounted price. I only use the IPad version of Affinity Designer. Is this Workbook applicable to the IPad version of Affinity Designer? Is it worth purchasing if I don’t use the desktop version? -
I know there was an issue a bit ago with Sony A7iii RAW files not opening, and Affinity mentioned it was an iOS issue. iOS now has the Sony A7iii on their list of supported files, and rather than just bringing a black screen when I open RAW files from the camera, now it just crashes the app entirely. Anyone else having the same issue?

Hello! A while back I bought Designer for my iPad, through the app store. Today I bought it for my Mac also, this time from Affinity's web site, and had to create an account there. Of course, my iPad purchase isn't listed on my Affinity account. Is there a way it can be? Is there even a benefit to doing so, or should I not worry about it? Thanks! -
Ok I think I have casually requested this but haven't actually added it to the forum. Im looking into a graphics tablet, however I started to look at tablet with a screen, then it sprung to mind that an iPad is way cheeper with (probably) and much better screen and way a better os. Now I don't know if this is possible but could an iPad be used with the addition of an app? (bolt on sale for you chaps here) Live screen action would be fantastic or sketches be send to Affinity designer on completion?

Affinity photo is great. But something I really miss when editing raw files is the possibility to adjust tone, saturation and luminance of the picture by colors. This is something that you can easily do on Lightroom and that I´d really like to find here in order to process my raw files completely with Affinity photo. I attach a picture of this feature in Lightroom for ipad. Thanks!

Hello fellow Affinity iPad users! i just bought the Affinity Photo App for my iPad Pro 9.7“. I already love it! However I encountered one weird problem: There are random tiny dots visible on my imported RAW files (RW2, Panasonic Lumix G7). You can see what I mean in the photo I have uploaded below. Does anyone know where that could come from? As for now it isn‘t that much of a problem as I can remove the dots with the clone tool, however it is quite annoying if you have to edit multiple photos and have to go searching for the little dots first and remove them all first. if you need more information to help me with my problem, just tell me, I‘ll try to be as precise as possible. EDIT: The dots appear only in Affinity, when I import and export the RAWs with another software, there are no dots visible at all. EDIT 2: I have now found out that the dots are so called „Stuck Pixels“. I tried the Pixel Refresh option my camera provides that actually claims to solve stuck Pixel Problems but that didn‘t work - it actually made it worse I believe. I‘m a bit concerned - I have spent my money onAffinity and really want to use it but this makes it pretty much unusable for me... Thank you for every answer! Greets, Sarah (infinabey)

I have only been able to find the last post dated from july 30/18 on the subject, at that time mentions no other stylus's work with AF. Is there an update to that and a stylus that will now work with Affinity Photo on my 5th gen Ipad? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-) -
Hello, my RW2 files all have stuck pixels in Affinity Photo. Please incorporate an automatic Pixel Mapping Feature in the future because removing all of these with the clone tool is a pain and makes Affinity unusable when editing multiple photos. No other photo editing app with RAW support that I tried has this problem so there must be a way to incorporate it for sure! Please, I really want to use Affinity for my Photo Editing! Hi. I am new to photo editing and new to AF. I like somebody to explain to me how i can blur my background to create depth of field without create that ghosting effect around the subject that make it look fake. I'm going to leave a link to a photoshop tutorial that shows how to archive the effect on photoshop. Please help.

Still getting used to the whole photo editing and designing thingamajig. First one is logo Ive designed for friends Kickboxing club, its still WIP as I feel its not just there yet. Second is me messing about in Photo using the Xenon brush pack. I did wan't to try and use the smoke brush pack. But I just couldn't get it right and watching the creators Youtube video in slow motion still didn't help.

Is it possible to generate a luminosity mask on the iPad just as one can do on the Mac. The Mac requires modifiers as the image is clicked. Or is there a macro to produce the mask?

Hello, What happened to the feature on Ipad that color picker appears when I press the pen 2sec on the screen? It was really useful in my workflow for blending colours... How can I pick/blend colors in the easiest and most efficient way now? Thanks, N.

Hello again dear community, as I am very new to Affinity for iPad I am once again seeking help. So essentially what I want to do is blend a sky image to a foreground image. The issue is the foreground image has a lot of trees and small details and on the sky layer I am using a mask to only draw on part of that area. What i wanna do is go down to one layer make a selection based on color because i see that as the fastest way then have that selection applied to the mask layer of the other layer so I can only paint without affecting the foreground image. Posting a screen of it, hopefully someone can help out

In Affinity Designer for iPad v1.6.4.45 I activated the setting to import text in PSD files as text instead as Pixel layer. I then opened a PSD document with a text layer that uses a font I haven't installed on my iPad. When selecting said layer now and switching to the text tool, instead of the name of the (missing/replaced) font it says in red "? cracked". I would expect at least a warning on opening the file that a used font isn't installed and maybe let me choose then between replacing it with a default font or importing affected layers as pixel layers instead.

I'm trying to use the divide operation on iPad, but it is generating hundreds of points or curves, so it complicates a lot making a custom shape because I have to delete all those points. How can I avoid this? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello! I’ve got a problem with Affinity photo for ipad. Whenever i try to scale an img down it gets really pixelated and the quality gets poor. Wher can i change interpolation or just fix this? Thanks in advance

I’m just getting to know AD, and so far it’s been great. However, I am trying to export a recently finished project in a few formats on my iPad Pro, but no matter what I select in the ‘Slices Export Persona’, I always get .PNGs when I inspect them in the Files app... Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks! -
Can I enable (if such a feature exists) assisted drawing for Affinity Designer for iPad? I want to be able to use the pencil tool (with Apple Pen), with isometric grid enabled, to draw along the lines of the grid. This will greatly assist me in creating isometric objects. Tried most of the tutorials on https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/tutorials/designer/ipad/ but none seem to cover the topic I am looking for. Below is sample of a simple isometric box I am trying to draw. It looks hideous. Any assistance? Regards, asdutoit
