[Just lost all imported assets - urgent!]

I’ve made quite a few assets my self, and I have bought some.. 

just now I was going to add another one I made, but the AD on iPad was freezing.. so I had to quit the app.

When restarting AD, all assets where lost.. except the iOS assets that came with the app. 

And I didn’t have a back up.. are they lost forever? Or any way I can get them back?

That’s great, but unfortunately doesn’t work or help here.. I tested with only one small AP document, with only one extra layer, with a brush stroke, and still crashes Procreate.

Same problem in AD for iPad. 

As I understand, they found an issue how Affinity creates the psd files, so hopefully it’s a fix in an update, some day soon... :-)

My wife doesn’t always understand why I have my nose deep into the iPad.. or what I’m doing, even if I constantly tell her I’m trying to learn vector graphics.. :-) I guess I can say the same about my self too, but anyway.. 

In some days we have a 5 year anniversary, and I was thinking to make a poster to put on the door (or maybe a t-shirt) :-) 

This is only an “early” sketch/idea of practicing my vintage style.. I see things that has to be adjusted, maybe make more visible, remove and add stuff.. but as an sketch, I’d love to have some feedback at this stage, to get some more ideas of what to do :-) (unless everyone is busy discussing Publisher) :-) 

Anyone? :-)

For the “moto sickles” I’m agree with you, if this was for someone else.. but my friend uses sickles a lot, for his build. It’s difficult to explain, but when you know him, it’s his style.. 

And this is just something I do, to try to learn the app, and make some brushes, and it’s a great way to test them out :-) 

For the distressed part, I’m also agree, but I didn’t see.. I like the distressed look better for this style.. :-) I’m pretty much new to this, and slowly getting better at making brushes, and using the app :-) 

Still there is a lot of things I don’t know how to do yet.. :-)

A good friend of mine is building custom motorcycles.. and me for the love of motorcycles, and old signs.. I tried to make something look a little vintage.. 

I know I have some issues I haven’t been figured out yet.. but some feedback would be cool! :-) 

The main font and all the brushes is designed by me. All done in AD for iPad 

Anything constructive? :-)

I design the brushes both on AD and Procreate.. 

I have one more question, but it’s better with picture/video explaining, so I’ll come back to that if I may? :-)

We’ll see what I can come up with.. :-) I’m sure they will offer assets in AP in the future tho, and that would be interesting! 

Anyway, I’m redesigning, and making more and better brushes.. it takes a little time tho. 

I’m not sure what they are called in English, but also designing and making some “frame” line brushes, which is often used in those old signs/posters, like these.. (still just on a sketch) :-) 

I have so many ideas now.. :-)

I’m a newbie, but I have fun trying to make some vector brushes.. 

so my question, if I’m making a new document, for making a brush, what would be a good size to make the document? 

So the things I’m drawing will fit best in the brush editor? :-)

I see now they can need a little more work... but I’ll fix, and update or maybe make a version 2.. I see some lines can be a little static.. so I’ll figure out how to make it better. 

But they can be pretty cool for vintage shadowing too... :-)

Im not sure how useful or good they are, but I made some vector brushes.. useful for me, and if anyone can use them, here you go :-) 

i made them for the love of vintage lettering styles, and I use it for backgrounds, like the old Sanborn Maps style.. 

Anyway, as I’m quite new to brush making, I’m sure they can be improved, and if I do, I’ll update them here :-)

And if I want it to work as I expected it to work, like pixel masking, I can cover all the canvas with a vector layer, then make another vector shape, and combine then, like this :-)
