Djoule got a reaction from walt.farrell in I can't import macros from V1.5
Thank you, library panel was the solution.

Djoule reacted to walt.farrell in I can't import macros from V1.5
The installed macros should have migrated automatically if you accepted the migration prompt during the first run-up of the application.
If they didn't, you can export them from V1 and import into V2. But note that:
If you have a .afmacro (no s) file you import it using the Macro panel. If you have a .afmacros file you import it using the Library panel. -
Djoule got a reaction from Patrick Connor in Affinity Photo for Windows - 1.9.0
Thank you for the Divide blend mode. It's really powerfull to remove a color cast and a huge time saving method.

Djoule reacted to Chris B in High Pass filter issue in 1.9.0.852
Hey Djoule,
I believe this is to do with a High Pass filter and groups. If you take the filter out of the group with whatever blend mode, it should be ok. We have a log if this already.

Djoule reacted to Frozen Death Knight in The new toggle system for alt+R click+L click are missing some settings
Ah, okay. Well, the best way to explain it is this:
1) Hold down alt and then hold down R click on your mouse (Doesn't work yet on my tablet because of Windows Ink bugs.). Now the UI for brush/hardness will appear.
2) While holding down alt+R click you press L click. Remember to fast click and not drag your mouse, or it will perform the regular command.
3) Once you've switched to shape/spacing or rotation, just drag your mouse while holding down L click. Remember not to release alt+R click from step one.
4) You've done it! Congratulations! : )

Problem still not solved with .293. It's kind of boring.

There are my last screencopies with a 8bits sRGB jpeg and Viveza2, Dfine2 and Color Efex 4. Only Color Efex 4 displays the right colors ... I precise that I use the DxO suite, I don't have the free Google suite anymore. And I use wide gamut monitors ...
with Viveza : desaturate
with Dfine : super saturate
with Color Efex4 : good
see the orange seat ...
I also precise that with the same image in my old CS6 and the same plugins, I always have the same good colors as the original. It's unfortunately unusable because the corrections are done on the image displayed by the plugin.

Djoule reacted to Fixx in Affinity, we need clarification: are you or aren’t you working on a DAM?
Possibly so. That is the old DAM definition and for it to hold true today there are some loose ends that photographers DAM should solve. Connecting raw developing and DAM has some merits as you can keep raw files and have non-destructive edits available at the same time, using same files. This can be done also with separate raw developer but it needs some new technology as DAM should be able to read non-destructively edited files, possibly with sidecar files (which I do not believe really to be most effective way of handling edit recording) and deliver those as edited output when needed. As AP does not do non-destructive raw developing there seems to be some challenges...
