You might try applying a 1 pixel (or less) of Gaussian Blur. If that doesn't work try applying 1 pixel of Noise. (maybe the two together.) Hope this might be of some help.

Don't forget what Adobe did to Quark. I wouldn't be surprise if Affiinity does that to Adobe..over time.

Can Affinity Photo handle ATN files/plug-ins? If so, where and how do you load them?
 
Off-topic: I'm greatly impressed where this whole Affinity project is going. It may well become the new standard in a couple of years.

The Non-Designers Design Book by Robin Williams
The Non-Designers Type Book by Robins Williams
Both author's books are easy reading and give excellent information for newbies. Also, you might want to subscribe to John McWade's Before &  After Newsletter. It is outstanding.

Of course I'm anxious to see Affinity Publisher, but if you have worked with InDesign you know the incredible depth of InDesign. In InDesign you can even do quite a bit of work that can also be done in Affinity Designer. It's easy to see that Affinity needs a lot of time to get this right. The Affinity team is doing a fantastic job and I wish them every success.

Affinity is doing GREAT work.

I too like printed manuals and and find them very useful. I use InDesign a lot and have several books and manuals on the subject. But, by far, the best manual is one published by O'Reilly, called InDesign Production Cookbook. This is probably the best example of very clever design, layout and concise writing that makes using this book a real pleasure. (I noticed that it was printed in the UK.) If Affinity could work with these folks in preparing a manual they would have a very useful manual that they could sell and really help the Affinity programs  get out into the mainstream and really give Adobe something to worry about.
 
Affinity rocks. I hope they complete the circle with a manual that is as outstanding as their programs.

Would it be possible to put an overflow out box like InDesign has? This is really very helpful, particularly in long documents.
