I use ^J power duplicate but use the iPad Pro smart keyboard to do so.

Grid and Guides are in the Toggle Preview Mode drop-down menu.
If you’re looking on the Affinity help site, make sure you’re viewing help for V2. Most of the time, Google search results include V1 articles — you can often simply add a ‘2’ after the app name in the URL.

You can add them back from the settings in the main board (mainboard meaning when you’re outside of your project) 
go to interface and select “show undo / redo buttons”  they express this in the new video (which is in your tutorials)

Unfortunately I could not figure out using the demo how to download the cutout so its accuracy can be assessed.
Apple this year released a similar feature in Apple photos on Mac, iPad and iPhone which does a decent job with a single click but not as sophisticated as this.

wet edge solved it. I somehow clicked on it without knowing. I’ve never used wet edge, in AP1, and I’m definitely not used to its new position out in the open - up top, I must be careful. Thanks @NotMyFault @DM1

No, that the official link to Affinitys new Help files. The onboard help is also very good.

Some brush control have a dot this signifies multi function control. Tap either side next to control icon. Accumulation effect opacity. Like thick coat/thin coat. The thinner the coat the less coverage of underlying colours. Opacity control acts on accumulation setting to control its opacity (see through). See example.
1 and 2 are different Accumation settings. 2 and 3 is accumulation setting on 2 made less opaque with opaque adjustment.

If you had posted this message a month before the release of v2, you would not have had so many negative reactions. Communication with customers is very important.
I'm sure everyone likes cheap software, but I'd rather pay more (even a subscription) if it meant better, faster development and more features for pro users.

If you long press on New, a drop down will pop up and you can then choose import from photos…

It lets you purchase a license that allows you to use all 3 applications (Photo 2, Designer 2, Publisher 2) on all 3 OS platforms (Windows, macOS, and iPadOS).
If you only use iPadOS, and never plan to use macOS or Windows, then it's probably not for you.
However, if you're a Windows or macOS user, and use all 3 apps, then the Universal price with the discount is (I think) just a bit above the cost of 2 apps, so it would save you money.
And if you're a user of both 2 OS platforms (Windows and macOS, or iPadOS and either of the others) it will save you money.

I’ll add some simpleness here. 
when you first apply a mask, it’s “not” inverted, it’s just a regular mask.
 
Inverting a mask is a different subject, look that up on its own, so you can understand that concept, because right now you *mashing up two separate concepts*.
 
Regarding a regular mask…. there’s a simple phrase used by many pro’s that helps you remember how basic masking works:
 
Black *conceals*
White *reveals*  

There’s a ‘No Fill’ swatch (a white circle with a blue diagonal line through it) in the Quick Colours section of the Colour Studio.

Perlin Noise was the answer, I did not achieve her look. Notice in the image below, she has some huge gaps of black in there, thus… achieving the look of a colorful space nebula:

 
 
 
This is my result, notice the much tinier black gaps, making mine look like colorful sand grains:

 
 
I tried playing with the octaves, zoom and persistence, but to no avail, that said, I’ll tinker around and hopefully come up with the space nebula. Consider this resolved! Thanks again @LeeThorpe
