  1. Maybe you have exported a PNG with transparency. If you used brushes or any bitmap/vector effects with transparency/blend modes you may see the colours a little different depending on the background color of the application you are using to view the file.
  2. Are you sure everything was included in the slice (including any pixel layers)? It's working fine here...
  3. The equivalent in Affinity to the third shortcut is cmd+drag. The others don't have any. Only kerning, tracking and leading have different increments in Affinity.
  4. Already said it in the Introduce Yourself thread great style and execution. Thanks for sharing :)
  5. Hi David, This was already discussed here.
  6. There's currently compound shapes in Affinity Designer too. It's not an Illustrator or Sketch name convention only.
  7. Oh, sorry. My mistake. When you said compound shape i've taken it literally and thought you have used a compound shape. In that case you're right there's no way to scale it.
  8. If its a compound shape you can select the smaller circle/shape in the layers panel and scale it independently of the rest. The compound shape will then update itself.
  9. The was already requested (by you) and closed by design.
  10. This was already requested and closed by design.
  11. Great suggestion. Very useful for a lot of situations.
  12. There's a thread where they discuss the possibility of using the current align tools to align nodes too. Check it out here.
  13. The node tool is able to align nodes both vertically and horizontally through dynamic guides and snapping. See attached video. aligning nodes.mov
  14. Hi Laurent, No at the moment, but it's coming as a new Persona. More info on this thread and here as well.
  15. Hi echslectir, When you mentioned a purple line in the objects, the first though that come to my mind was that was the color selected for the layer containing the object(s). Now i've realised that this third question come after you have been tinkering with the snapping options. So the most probable cause for that purple line is that you activated Show Snapping Candidates in the snapping options (in the magnet menu). When activated it highlights the objects - candidates - (with a purple line) to which the snapping will work against. Sorry for the confusion.
  16. Do you know you can change the color of the stops in the color panel on the right when editing the gradient on the canvas? And most actions can be done directly on the canvas as well: add/delete stops, change midpoint position, drag colours from the swatches panel to the spots on the canvas etc..
  17. Hi Kate, That functionality will be probably integrated in Affinity Photo (beta will be available in October). Since all Affinity apps will share the same file format you can change between them to use the appropriate feature set for the task at hand. This will be done trough some buttons in the toolbar according to the information posted by some Affinity devs.
  18. It would be nice yes. There's a lot of resources being shared out here that can not be used directly in Affinity.
  19. Oops, when i said a few minutes i wasn't meaning it really. I was referring to having the snapping available today on the new build... I couldn't avoid to shoot that after reading Ben's post
  20. George, I think Affinity Photo will enter in public beta as soon as Affinity Designer is released. It should be around September/October 2014.
  21. Hello JimJapan Welcome to Affinity Forums. There's already a "text formatting inspector" available in the program. Select the text tool and look at the toolbar on top. There's buttons for character and paragraph "inspectors". See attached image.
  22. retrograde I think you're misunderstanding Chris post. He's asking about selecting a single color of an image, not selecting objects with the same color.
  23. rui_mac, don't kill the messenger... :( I'm just trying to help the user. Personally, I don't care about what shortcut is used, as long as there's a shortcut for this.
