It would be nice if there was an option to automatically create a group for duplicated objects.

It is a pity that the move / duplicate is not active for the node tool as well as changing the properties. It would be great if you could use the move / duplicate with a shape etc and then use the node tool to manipulate the nodes with the move / duplicate still active
Love the addition of the scale, that was something I thought was missing the first time I used the tool as well as the insert order
Would be great to see a jitter feature for the settings, a randomization feature so the horizontal can be any value between 0 to entered (negative or positive) so with 10 entered, it would be 0.2 or 1.3 or 4.6 etc for each new layer. If -10 entered then -0.3 or -3.2 or -8.7 etc
A colour randomization for the shapes / curves ?? it would be wonder if using a black path initially that any new shape or curve is filled with red or green or blue and perhaps extend it to colour randomize from the swatches panel group so if you currently have the a swatch category of red, green and blue then only those colours would be used as well as if it is filled with different gradients so you could have a red-green, blue-yellow etc gradient fill with the shapes etc
Would be great if duplicate linked was applied directly though a workaround of first duplicate linking and then using that does create multiple duplicate links
Still find that having to turn duplicate ON and then setting the number of minor issue, be great if you just set the copies to 0 (which means that there is no duplication or copies) and then increasing it to 1, 2, 3, etc does as before and then eliminating that extra step.

    Nice improvements.
Is there any chance that we will get absolute differences in addition to relative differences? This has long been requested with Power Duplicate.
Some easy way to make (for example) 100 concentric circles, each 20 pixels larger than the last would be a real time saver.

    Nice tool.
Is there much call for the "Semi-Circular" spiral? I get that it's a recreation of the workaround people have been using, but with a true Linear spiral, I can't see a use case for it. The double-back option is nice. Could that be added to other spirals as well?

Definitely a thumbs up for a live blend tool, colour options, etc Used the Illustrator one a lot, miss it in AD

True, I do much the same but I just would love to see something like the procedural texture, a nice and handy presets feature as well as it remembering the last equation used.  As well as adding it to the live filter effects.

The problem with Astute plugins, they are based on subscribtion model. The whole annual plan for set of 21 plugins is £129 they cost more, than entire Affinity suite.

Whenever I'm using the Equations Editor I keep Notepad or another text editor open.  I can then cut and paste the current version of an equation between the text editor and the filter. I can also copy the x and y values across as well. I can keep annotation in the asociated textfile which I save during the session.
It would be convenient to have an affinity text window as part of the program for such purposes, but my current workflow for equations is hardly inconvenient.

Better still, add it to the current list of Live Filter Layers

The equations filter is useful but the panel cannot be resized like the procedural texture as well as parameters (very limited)
    1) Resize the equations panel so the panel can be longer / more width as if you enter something like rx+ry*2-oscsin(rx*rx+ry*ry)/1000+mod(rx,10) etc then it gets cut off and you have to scroll through it.
    2) Add more parameters - a, b, c are really not enough for many equations
    3) Allow more access to similar functions that reside in the procedural textures filter
    4) Add a presets feature, it is hopeless that you have to re-enter the equations each time
    5) It should memorise the last equation used so you don't have to type it in again

I would prefer they don't bloat Affinity Photo with an animation feature.
I'm all for Affinity Animator. If they make an animation app, I'd buy it.

The color picker delay is VERY frustrating. I'm sorry Monterey is triggering this for you all, I hope you're able to fix it without much trouble.

Ive been using AP for a couple years and this image movement is the single most frustrating shortcoming for me.  It's particularly difficult when working on panoramas or when trying to accurately crop.  How about a simple toggle button on the sidebar to turn position locking one and off.

I agree, it would be a wonderful addition to the equations filter. It definitely does need presets. It would be great if more custom inputs were available in the same way as procedural texture.   Also, it would be useful on restarting the equations / procedural that the last used equations are still there as you may create an amazing set of equations to find that they are gone next time you fire up the filters menu equations etc (unless you jot it down or store it to a notepad on your computer)
Procedural texture ... perhaps have an extend mode as well such as mirror if that is possible ?
Created 100s of equations effects, sadly, at the moment I just have to keep a note of them and bring them back in each time via the pasteboard

I think it would be nice to be able to store distort equations in a similar way to the procedural texture equations preset panel. At the moment it seems the only way to store distort equations is to either jot them down in another app somehwere, or store them in a macro. When you store them in a macro you lose the equation, so you can't go back to it, which is kind of annoying. I've currently got my equations building up a text document, but working like that doesn't fit the nice workflow that the other features have. Also, with the procedural textures panel if you accidentally apply before storing the preset you lose the equation, would it be possible to have a persistent edit buffer that populates the dialogue with the last equation you used, rather than it opening with a blank panel each time? It's really easy to spent time messing about to get an interesting pattern and then pressing apply to see the pattern properly (with the anti-aliasing in place), before saving it as a preset ... then it's gone, you've lost all that effort!

Good to see some help in the mac help but this feature alone surely should have a 200+ page book on the subject as the notes include very vague notes such as rotate vector left or vector right as well as things like negrg(V) or scurveinterp etc - certain there are many out there that understand that but personally, no idea. Possibly some notes on how cubicinterp can be used or where it maybe even used ? It is an amazing feature but one where only 1% of the power of the filter will ever be used.

Possible to add an if statement such as (R>G)?R:G etc or (R>125)?R:0 etc
