Chris B got a reaction from Chipotle in Adding lipstick to lips
    Hi kanton14,
    Welcome to the Affinity Forums!

    1. Open your image and create a new layer
    2. Select the Paint Brush tool (or press B on the keyboard) and then choose the colour you wish to use for the lipstick from the Colour tab
    3. Paint over the lips until they are covered. You can use the [ and ] keys on the keyboard to change the size of the brush
    4. On the Layers tab, click the drop-down where it says 'Normal' and select 'Soft Light'
    5. Experiment with the opacity

You can try changing the Flow and Hardness of the brush which may help achieve a more natural look.

    I hope this helps!

I'm making isometric illustrations for quite a while now. I used to make them in Photoshop/Illustrator, but since Affinity introduced Isometric grids my life got way easier.

The idea is to make some screenprints of these illustrations someday (hence the limited colorpalette).

I really look forward to hear what you think about them!

I usually edit in Lightroom, love the tools and ratings so its my default app. I spent some time using Affinity Photo to create this Noir look. Shot with a Panasonic G7 and my Samyang 50mm.

Must admit, I'm addicted to a Black & White shot. ;)

Can't wait for the D.A.M to be able to organise the shots.

    Hello!

I've been updating some old drawings with AD. Some I save as .afdesign, others I keep as SVG.
This one is some years old. I got rid of some masks, reorganized some layers, resized for my current desktop. Then I saw this "angel-like" shape I had not seen when I first made it.

It may not be some of a merit for AD, but there's a chance it's something to do with the interface and how the original drawing looked on it. Anyway, it feels refreshed to me.

Funny thing about me finding a new tool is how excited I am to review old stuff. There are a lot of things that are much easier to do in AD so that I'll probably try. This particular one was done in CorelDraw and updated in inkscape. The proper tool gives you control over the kind of result you want. I like this design, this very result I got (on all of the X-Women I've drawn) but something as artistically unattached as interface is critical to see some things and affects the final work.

    Thank you for your attention.

I tried to do a more textured drawing. Not sure I will dig more into this way but making my own brush was cool ^^
Still a little bit disappointed by AP instability :S But I'm sure that'll be fixed in further version :)

And Happy new year to everyone! And thanks again Serif's folks :)

I am taking a class from Digital Art Academy. The current assignment was to emulate Roy Lichtenstein, and I decided to create a portrait of Doris Day. I used an old photo as inspiration, and this is the result. I did the hard work (the outlines) in AD, and most of the fills in Painter 2016.

I wanted her to be excessively happy, rather than tormented as most of Roy Lichtenstein's women were.

    Hi all,

Thank you all for your comments. I'm terrible at updating - although I've been carrying on using Affinity Designer so much over the last few months, especially for commissioned work - it's really part of my workflow. But I've been re-organizing all my portfolios, including a brand new website, therefore here as well I'll try to post some of the stuff I've done - some personal and some work - which usually is meeting deadlines material, so where workflow comes into prominence.

Starting with some work stuff I probably can show - I've been doing a lot of  animation assets for video explainers etc, so here  are a  few examples  along with a personal piece (more soon).

Was trying something different here, attempting to recreate the look of printed material. To this end I've create patterns of 1000s of dots to try and get that letratone/halftone feel.

What's impressive is that Affinity Designer's devs aren't kidding when they say the thing never slows down or runs out of memory. It really doesn't. I think this number of objects would have made AI weep tears of blood...
