Tourmaline got a reaction from emmrecs01 in Get CPU/GPU usage under control, please
Don't act like you know more then a developer/designer.
Not every workflow is the same and I don't have any problems. Either you change your workflow or deal with it.
Not every user fault is a designer/developer flaw.

Yes, but only for Illustrator.
It's a plug-in for Illustrator from Astute Graphics.
They make a bunch of really good Illustrator plug-ins wich will enhance functionality.

Tourmaline got a reaction from JET_Affinity in Distort / warp feature affinity designer
There you go.
Sorry, maybe it's just me but I don't get all the people "demanding" tools in a first edition that other developers took years to implement.
Yes, it's nice to have but understand that implementing tools well costs a lot time and effort.
You get a lot for the price the software costs and a lot of features are added for free. Some other developers will only "fix" things in a payed update/upgrade.
There's so many people "demanding" new features that the problem is what to implement first. Everybody thinks their requested tool has priority...
Just be reasonable...

People on this forum are smart enough to figure out what you mean in English. I mean, they are smart enough to use Affinity software...

Tourmaline got a reaction from JET_Affinity in Automatic conversion of images to vectors.
Most professionals will do a manual trace for logo's as it yields best results. I can image It might save time but with relatively complex logo's doing it yourself is always better then any trace program.

Not only books, also a lot of magazines are made with DTP programs. And they don't need that feature.

Tourmaline got a reaction from bakuiseok in Automatic conversion of images to vectors.
It has been requested for many times over and over and it will probably be included in a version 2.0
Serif stated that they will only include this function if it works the way they think it should work, as in effective tracing.
For now you can use the tracing engine of Inkscape. It's quite good.

Congratulations Serif on launching Affinity Publisher!
The Studiolink works great.
For people using the beta's. For the Studiolink to work you must install the retail versions from your download page, then the link works.

Tourmaline got a reaction from Patrick Connor in Affinity Publisher Public Beta - 1.7.0.384 (RC1)
The buttons for Designer and Photo will ONLY work in the release version of Publisher and with officially purchased copies of Designer and Photo and with CUSTOMER beta's. It will NOT work in PUBLIC beta's...
Quote from Patrick Connor:
"be aware I said customer betas, those released after we launch to preview fixes and more new features. The PUBLIC betas 1.7.0.376 won't ever show those personas, indeed it will stop working."
