Even when you throw 10-20 RAW files into the program at the same time, the program hangs up the computer so that the mouse can hang and does not work Ctrl + alt + del. There is a feeling that the program runs all processes in parallel, with a high priority. It would be logical that the processes be processed sequentially or there should be a limit on the number of simultaneously calculated processes. This would prevent the computer from becoming freezes.

First off, I've never heard from anyone at Adobe regarding my feature requests (I've been using it since version 2.0). Needless to say I'm very impressed by this forum!!! I almost feel bad about how harsh I was (I'm accustomed to nobody listening, so perhaps I'd better go back to communicating like a proper human being). Thank you very much for this reply, and it's erased any doubt I have regarding my purchase of Affinity, and it's future! Keep it up!
 

I'm a bit shocked that there aren't more people who'd like the (non) cropping tool in Affinity Photo rewritten, or perhaps it's still early days for pros to migrate to Affinity. I can't imagine a professional photo editor that doesn't require control over resolution (with built into the crop tool with a choice of interpolation type) and dimensions (constrained when they are typed in... why would you type them in if you wanted your handles to go wherever they want lol?). I don't know why I have to request such an obvious feature. Yes, I know how it's currently done in Affinity Photo, and I'm telling you that you might want to spend more time in Photoshop!

It would be really nice if we could cancel the Crop tool in Affinity Photo with ESC key on the keyboard. Currently the only way to do this is to click on the "Cancel" button on the top which is slower.

Dear team, sorry - I'm never really satisfied with crop tool (some apps worse, some better).
 
1. would be great if it snaps - I like to crop images from center not to destroy perspective that probably no one cares, sometime me neither, but when i wish center in center i like to do it perceise
2. same hotkey modifier to keep constrains like when you scale any object. Its pain to set it on top menu.
 
1&2 how to explain - i just see some rectangle (as crop tool) which would be nice to handle like rectangle object - scale from center, not from one side, keep proportion without resetting ratio and size, etc.
 
3. way to avoid empty canvas when rotated or moved - as an option. Like in apple's photos you can't do photo with empty corner.)

I couldn't agree more. It's really slow to have to move the cursor up to the top bar every time you want to change the radius or hardness of brushes.

Yes, it's a little bit different to how we've done it before, but I think it makes a lot of sense. Previously, once a beta had "ended", it was difficult to know when a new one had started. So now, any beta user can just continuously use the beta, without having to worry about switching over to the retail one at some point, and then watching out for when a new customer beta starts, and switching back to that. 
 
The key bit of information which people might need to know is that the latest beta version and retail versions are exactly the same.

No, the beta expiry has been removed for customer betas (public betas will expire after a month, but we aren't running any public betas right now). The thought being, if you're a customer, you can do what you like. My plan is that if you're interested in having the "bleeding edge" builds, but willing to risk a bit of unstability, you can just live in the beta builds. Anyone else can just use the normal retail builds.

- Improved brush smoothing. Any painting tools should now have better smoothing by default.
- Transparent TGA import support.
- Fix for failures when using compound objects inside groups with Constraints set on them.

Frequently I can't see the guides at all, mostly in light images. I can't imagine it's that hard to add simple customization for their color? That would be really great.

Note: Surface Pro users will now need to opt-in to the new option which will prevent the user interface from being unresponsive. You can find the option in Preferences | User Interface | Enable Pointer Support. Unfortunately when we enabled this option by default, HUION and Gaomon drivers caused crashes within Microsoft's WPF / .NET Framework.
