My dream: to draw with the frame text tool a rectangle, that is automatically a curve (and can therefore be changed with the node tool, if desired).

Hi guys! I've been working on this template file to create social media branding material for my clients. 
I've managed to create a single file with multiple artboards (each one with it's export presets) ready for use.
You are welcome to delete the ones that you will not use (so you don't generate empty files on export).
 
It also includes flat icons from each platform just in case you might need them.
 
It's updated for 2017 according to this data from Social Sprout.

That slider has always been dual-purpose. Click the word Noise or the well under it, and it should become Opacity again.

Try toggle CapsLock. It works on my side.

Interestingly I've been able to replicate this when using the Shift + arrow keys to select characters, but as you've mentioned this is not consistent and took around 60 seconds of creating and removing selections in this manner before I could replicate the issue.
As I've been able to recreate this, I'll get this logged as a bug with our developers now for further investigation - many thanks for your report

Open image in V1 and apply your gradient map preset (let's assume it was called Brian)
Save document
Open image in V2 access the gradient map adjustment layer hit the Add Preset button and name it Brian

I installed "Windows 11, version 22H2" Windows update and problem with font search was solved for me. 

If the Affinity apps are crashing when typing into the Font selection box please uninstall the following updates dependant on your version of Windows:
Windows 11: KB5017264, KB5017267, KB5017271, KB5017859, KB5018341, KB5018546, KB5018859, KB5020695, KB5020617 
Windows 10: KB5013887, KB5017262, KB5017266, KB5017858, KB5018329, KB5018543, KB5018544, KB5018545, KB5020613
Some users have also reported crashes/issues when placing images, updating resources, adding pages, amending table columns and converting colour profiles. If you're suddenly experiencing crashes when performing actions which worked previously it is also recommended that these updates be uninstalled. 
If you're unsure on how to uninstall these updates, please follow the below:
Press the Windows Key + R and enter 'Control Panel' Go to 'Uninstall a program' Select 'View Installed updates' Find the associated KB number, right click and select 'Uninstall' Restart your PC On Windows 11 you may need to press the Windows Key and search for 'Uninstall Updates'. You will then be able to uninstall the relevant update.
This update can then be hidden to prevent it being installed with future updates by following the guide in the link below.

Thanks for the quick reply, MEB, I really appreciate it. No ability to change icon size is a real bummer. When I asked a tech-savvy friend of mine, "Why are computer and phone things getting so small?" he replied, "Because they are all being built by young people who don't have the same issues older people have. And unfortunately, by the time these young techies become Seniors, you and I will be gone already." So true!

I just tried something. If I "group" the pixel layers that aren't copy and pasting correctly into the new document, even if they are the only things in that group, then I can coy and paste it and have it work. 

So weird. But at least it works. Maybe someone else will find this stuff useful too.

I copied the image, and isolated the lighter areas and the darker areas by blend ranges, to make the middle bright background transparent.
added a green fill layer to allow seeing what got transparent. Remove fill layer before exporting in a format that supports transparency (png)
