Hi Sandee, Looking at the screenshots everything looks fine to me. They look like the default Windows 7 colours. Do you have a phone/digital camera you could take a picture with please and attach that? Could you verify that the screenshot I've sent also looks the same To me it sounds as though the display cable that goes from your PC tower to the Monitor is not correctly seated so the Red colour signal connection is not being made, which is why it looks tinted. Have you moved the monitor or tower around recently? I would check to make sure all the cables are fully plugged in and not loose.

Hi FGR84, When you say it will only export Affinity files are you just using Save As? To get a file in a different format (suchas JPG or PNG) you need to use File > Export. Are you able to give a bit more step by step instructions on what is happening with Sony PlayMemories so we can try and reproduce this issue at all? Thanks

Hi Rabscuttle, In addition to what Jon P has said do you have the full path for where you are currently running the EXE from? For example we've indentified a case whereby "C:\Tést1\Folder1\affinity-designer-public-beta.exe" will work, however "D:\Tést1\Folder1\affinity-designer-public-beta.exe" will fail with the message above.

They are still snapping candidates (I forgot text objects can still be snapping candidates). If you leave your mouse to hover over them they will appear purple to indicate they are snapping candidates (If you have 'Show Snapping Candidates' enabled in Snap settings). With regards to the Initial Forms, I'm getting the same behaviour on the Mac version so I've reported it to the developers now.

The purple highlighting is Snapping Candidates - it looks as though the text there is being imported as curves. When you imported the PDF had you ticked or unticked the two options on the import dialog?

Just to be sure do you mean 'which is supposed to be disabled by default, is enabled... ?

Do you have a screenshot of the EPS output? I've tried outputting it to EPS and found that 5 of the 6 segmented gradients behind the person were missing. Is this what you are experiencing?

Where are you seeing the Initial Forms listed as being enabled? I've opened the PDF with both Mandala and Pali fonts installed and cannot see where they are enabled. Are you referring to the overly stylized letters?

Hi Foxfin, What processor do you have on your machine? Did you have many documents open? Does it respond any better after a reboot?

Hi Analogue Blacksheep, This is still an issue with the application and has yet to be fixed by a developer so you will still encounter the crash with this font. I've tested it on the Mac and it works correctly on there. Also could you please create separate threads (with summaries for their titles) for each issue you encounter. This allows other users to easily search for similar issues they may be having and it helps us keep on top of bug reports and ensure they are dealt with suitably. Thanks!

Hi Pesala, Do you have the original file you were trying to export? What settings were you using in both ? Without these we cannot give a definite answer. What I can tell from your files is that the Affinity export has a colour profile embedded in it, whilst the FastStone one does not - this is most definitely what is contributing towards the file size. There is an option under 'More' for PNG export to not embed the colour profile.

This is the same on Mac, however the font colour on the Mac is a lighter grey. The bold of the shortcuts is there so users can immediately see what options are available to them when they transform the object. I'll get the darker grey reported and hopefully the lighter colour will help a bit more!

This is the same as Mac, if it is a feature you want then please create a thread in the Feature Requests section of the forum. 4. This is a bug in the Windows version and I'll get it reported. 5. This should work with an embedded PSD, however it is not meant to update a PSD that is already open (via File > Open) in Affinity. 6. This is a known issue and is with the developers to be fixed. 7. If you do encounter any other issues then please create a separate thread for each issue, as managing single threads with 7-8 issues can be very difficult.

This is a known issue (AW-687) and is caused by the Slider box still having focus. It will happen if the slider is left open after using it and then you try to scroll the page.

Hi Tinanoumax, There are some align tools found on the top menu bar for Affinity. It is the Arrange button (the two horizontal bars) clicking this drops down a series of Align options. See attached screenshot.

Hi Draghmar, Before I respond to your points I will prefix this post by saying we are aiming for the same features between Windows and Macs so any feature requests are better being added to the Feature Request section of the forum. 1. The Transform tool can be used to Skew objects. If you move your cursor slightly outwards of the Nodes you will get two arrows facing in different directions - this allows you to skew the object. Alternatively you can use the S: section in the Transform panel for that object. As for Perspective that is a feature that is available in Affinity Photo. 2. How exactly are you wanting to transform your selection? In the Pixel Persona each of the selection tools has the ability to Add/Subtract or Intersect a selection allowing you to modify your initial selection. You then have the ability to Refine your selection allowing you to adjust the border size and to smooth and feather the selection. 3. This is the same as Mac so this would be better adding to the Feature Requests section of the forum. 4. This is a known issue with both Mac and Windows and is currently with the developers. 5. All these tools are found in Affinity Photo. Please see the discussion in this thread - we have no plans to make an 'all-in-one' Affinity. 6. Affinity Photo supports plugins, however we have no plans to support plugins in Designer. 7. This is the same as Mac, feel free to create a thread in the Feature Requests. 8. Regards to the search this will bring up all pages containing the searched for word. The Slices panel does reference artboards which is why it is listed. I do agree that the artboard topic should be listed higher up than it currently is so maybe the results page could do with better ordering. 9. The concept of Affinity is designed around Personas. Designer contains three: Draw, Pixel and Export. Draw persona contains all the tools for drawing and manipulating vector objects, whereas the Pixel persona is for dealing with Raster objects. As Vector and Raster objects are inherently different it is better to keep the tools of each of these separated and allows for a cleaner, less cluttered UI. Ctrl+T is the shortcut for Show Character tab - as the Artistic Text and Frame Text objects are only available in Draw Persona (because they're vector objects and not raster) it means their is no need for the Character tab whilst in the Pixel Persona. 10. Again the shortcut mirrors the one on the Mac. Feel free to add a request for the new document size based on the clipboard in Feature Requests. 11. This is set the same as on Mac - I don't believe any users have encountered issues with it and it allows them to get the best performance possible. 12. Unfortunately not all users have the Numpad (many laptops) so to make these function differently is a bad idea. 13. The triple dots as you say indicate that a dialog will appear. Rasterise is not entirely incorrect as there are some cases where it will bring up a dialog (such as Rasterising an object with Layer FX). Are there any others you have spotted? 14. Most objects with sliders should allow you to do this. If there are any slider based options that don't allow you to do this then please let us know. 15. This is possible in the Mac version so this looks to be a simple bug in Windows. I'll get this reported. 16. Unfortunately without the file there isn't anything that can be done. If you wish to send me the file privately (it will be removed after the developers have looked at the bug) then please PM me a link. 17. I'm unable to reproduce this, if you have clear steps at reproducing this issue please start a new thread about this so others may be able to help. 18. I'm not sure what you're problem with this is? However this is the same behaviour as Mac. 19. As Affinity Designer is predominately a vector drawing application (as opposed to raster such as Photoshop) it will be slightly different to the standard raster/pixel crop. The Crop tool functions by applying a vector mask to each object. This means that the operation is non-destructible and can be later adjusted if you change your mind. 20. Mac does output using a 3 letter JPG extension, however Windows uses a 4 letter extension. I'll report it to the developers. 21. These effects are called 'Layer Effects' and they appear affect what ever object (or layer) they are applied too in much the same way as Layer Effects are applied to what ever is contained in a Photoshop Layer. 22. Under View there is a Show Guides option to hide guides. However it is not possible to hide the current selection. Feel free to add a request in Feature Requests. 23. Feel free to create a thread in Feature Requests. 24. This is a feature found in Affinity Photo. Again as Designer is primarily vector based a Merge option is not feasible. 25. Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this. What is the full path you're installing from? If you create any more threads about bugs, could you please limit it to one post per bug as it gets very hard to track each individual issue when you're responding to 25 questions!

Hi Felonius, Unfortunately this is not currently possible on either the Windows or Mac version, however I do personally think it is an extremely useful addition. I would suggest you head on over to the Feature Requests section of the forum and post a thread requesting it in there.
