  1. I'm pretty finicky and hard to suit about UIs. I was able to make a "thanks to our sponsors" banner with it shortly after using it, importing or opening vector logos from Brands Of The World, take some apart to remove out date parts. see the difference between pasting a shape in and place an image, arrange and align some objects easily enough and make a usable finished design with only one look at help to see how to reopen the big control panels on the right. Nice work.
  2. I aggree completely. Preserving aspect ratio should be he default for everything. Deforming things should take the additionial key regardless of what the objected being sized is. I've used both systems and observed both system used by others for decades. Default preservation of aspect ratio without a modifier key regardless of what the object is is by far the least error prone way to do it, as well as easiest to remember. It's a lot more important to keep circles round,, squares square, and equilateral triangles equilateral trianges equilateral that it is to make it take an extra key to stretch or squish the text slightly as the customer wants.
