    Sadly this only works to shrink a text frame and not to expand it. And it's not possible to select more than one frame to do this. It would be nice to select several text frames to fit to content by a short cut.

    The issue "Dashed Stoked with a gradient fill fails to export to PDF" (REF: AFB-7380) has been fixed by the developers in build "2.1.0.1799/2.1.0.1806". This fix is in the current customer release. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including "@Serif Info Bot" to notify us

    my last post. I’m posting on instagram (yuk) and twitter (2 followers so Elon will be getting worried!)  if you can find me! Also in the private Facebook Affinity Designer group (the biggest one).
    Two quick ones. Did the astronaut then he had to have some transport. The rocket is a bit closer to futurist I guess. Rocket one needs a tweak or 10 but didn’t take too long.

    While that will do the job, I don’t think that’s what they are doing in the example video as they are adjusting many things at the same time.
    Also, that will work without Align to nodes of selected curves switched ON.
    Also, not all of your vertical lines are getting ‘aligned’ at the same time as in the video.
    I think we need more information, and maybe the original document.

    3 years later and how is this is still (not) a thing? Is this just a technical impossibility for development because I cant really think of a good reason not include real alpha editing.

    All brushes are made with raster geometric shapes (on vector curves) over which I applied various opacities, blur intensity levels and other effects. I’ve been using them for vector illustration as shading brushes with iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and the “vector brush tool”.
    Max tail offset is 600px. Width is set at 100px for all brushes (modify according to your needs). They can be used for anything with no worry.

    You can use the Channel panel for selection subtraction.
    Select the channel panel, you will notice there is a pixel selection channel, without a selection it is all black. Making a selection will show as white on the black pixel selection icon You can right click on the pixel selection channel icon and choose Create Spare Channel, you will see a new channel called "Spare channel" Now move the selection in the workspace so that it still overlaps where it used to be. Now right click on the Spare channel and select Subtract From Pixel Selection, you should see a chunk taken off the pixel selection in the workspace note: You can make multiple spare channels and subtract each spare channel from the active selection in the workspace.

    Hi, i am trying to migrate Affinity group and having issues with colour palettes.
    When i create a palette from a document or an image the colours are added with names "palette 2", "palette 3 or with the document name. What i am expecting is that the colours are added with their colour values either CMYK or RGB.
    Additionally when i choose a colour from Pantone catalogue as a spot colour it is added to document palette as global colour 1, global colour 2 etc. Why can not i see the Pantone number of the colour? If i forgot to change the colour name i cannot remember the number and it is really annoying.

    Hi! I've been having a lot of fun with purely 2D illustration, and a bit of worldbuilding. These are from a series 'Pelagicogakkia' - focusing on a mysterious region of the ocean.
    Everything is made in Affinity Designer. Those pseudo-3D landforms are my favourite part, they're made with many duplications of one layer, and varying contours.
    The fog effect gives things a lot of depth, and is both cumbersome and elegant. Its just many many thin levels of 'screen layer' inbetween each 'real layer'. This means you can simply put objects at whatever 'depth' looks right (by using the layer stack) and the fog automatically overlays the colour and tone realistically.

    We have that in Designer under the Select > Select Same > Tag Colour. So hopefully it will come to Photo and Publisher as well, seems an odd omission.

    Just messing around, 3 colours (plus the paper colour). I used the ipad for a change, still not a big fan of the mobile version. The 1989 Batmobile. Might do some more when I'm bored.

    https://www.educba.com/svg-vs-eps/
    SVG does not work properly for professional printing and it only contains vector information. CMYK ist not available, also. EPS still is the standard for printing (beside PDF) and can contain vector and pixel information. EPS can be RGB and CMYK plus Spot-Colours.

    An absolutely essential Baseline Grid functionality is to align text with:
    «All Lines» or «First Line Only». Making a Magazine without the «First Line Only» is quite annoying.
    Would be great if you could this essential layout feature implement in version 1.

    For me it would be very useful, if Affinity Publishers Preflight would be able to find colours, that are not in the used swatches panel. That could prevent the accidental use of Colours, that are not wanted. I don't know, if I can make my point clear – I'm from Germany and my English is a bit clumsy.
