Thanks Dan. All sounds really good ;0)
Now, if only 'duplicate document' could be added (which in Photoshop creates an *exact* duplicate to the front-most document, resolution, size, guides and all, whereas AP's 'New from clipboard' doesn't maintain any of these things) I'd be a very happy man ;0)

nearly three years later - is this available yet? Being able to have shapes without anti-aliasing would be great. The imprecise edges of shape against shape, and shape against photo is really getting me down.

A duplicate document option would be extremely useful for me. The work-arounds are not very practical. I often need to make several files from one PSD file. There's nothing more practical than having a shortcut to duplicate the whole document and change or trash the layers I don't need for that version of the document and then save them separately. My current work-around is basically saving and reopening/dragging the document several times. Is there a better solution I'm missing.

Almost everyone working on websites/apps will be dealing with medium-to-small images that will not fit the entire working area. Pixel art and pixel-based graphics are very common. Small pieces of images and/or GIF's are usually small too. When you work with these kind of images you're constantly dealing with CTRL+1 to resize them to 100% (original size). I think that having an option to NOT automatically resize them would please everyone.

The way Pšenda describes how it should work is spot-on, and it's not just very small images that are problematic. I work on a 27" iMac, 5k retina, so virtually every web graphic gets zoomed in on opening, resized, or cropped. I'm constantly CMD-1ing. For the record, I love the software and advocate for it whenever I can. But to me, this particular behavior feels poorly considered.

    That helps, thanks.
Only problem is that if I select the rasterised shape and then alt+drag to copy, the copy is added as a new layer ;0)
However, food for thought and thanks for the file.

Thanks. That does the trick. Really hidden away there, though. I'd never have found it. ;0

    Hi colindun,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Currently there's no way to do it directly inside of the program. I'm moving this to the Feature Requests section.
