Madame got a reaction from Seweryn in Printing across multiple pages
I'll try. On the contition that I have understood your question right.
You are limited by the size of your papers of course.
Make a document the size of aprox 4 papers. Ie. 17X20 inches.
Set up your rulers to divide the document in 4.
Make your pattern.
Go to Export Persona.
Make 4 slices with guided by the rulers.
I'm not sure if you have to calculate bleed and how to do it, sorry. Maybe someone can chime in with some knowledge here. ;)

Madame got a reaction from Bleep-bloop in Editing text in Affinity Photo
Hi.
If you select your text layer, select the text tool and dobleclick in the textbox, you can edit the text.

Madame got a reaction from Artist in Illinois in Import multiple photos at once
I'm not sure this is what you want, but if you drag and drop from finder, you can open multiple pictures at once.
They open in separate tabs, though.

Madame got a reaction from Dalibor Puljiz in Make a selection on an image transparent
You can use Filter>colours>erase white paper.
Hope that helps!

Madame got a reaction from Megnusin in [AP] Editing a gradient mask layer
MBd, I haven't a clue about the mechanism of gradients. ;)
I would just add that in the swatches panel, you can click on the palette icon to save the gradient you use.
It will add to the list and you can call it up again. It makes it a little easier I think.

Madame reacted to GarryP in Affinity Photo Basics
Giving this thread a title that gives people more information about the content might make it easier to search for.
Also, a bit of information within the post itself might be good, instead of just a link.

Madame reacted to Granddaddy in Digitally Fearless
Somehow I missed these great tutorials from Digitally Fearless during my past two years of immersing myself in Affinity Photo. I discovered Digitally Fearless only this morning while searching for clothing manipulations. Then I found that @Cecil had alerted forum readers to Digitally Fearless seven months ago and somehow I missed his post. I think it's worth bumping this thread back up to the top.
As of this morning, there's a total of 91 tutorials posted in the past 11 months.

Madame reacted to HeatherLouise in Introduce Yourself
Good morning from Florida, USA!
My name is Heather. I was a professional designer for over a decade before I left that job, in 2010, to be a full time mom. I worked as an in-house designer mostly producing direct mail advertising, catalogues, and large scale pieces for trade shows and conferences. Now that my daughter is in middle school I have a lot more time on my hands. Back over the summer, I decided to get back into design work and I’m learning to run my own business.
Over Thanksgiving, I took a deep breath, jumped in, and traded in my 13 yo MAC with Illustrator and Photoshop CS3 and Quark 9 for a brand new PC and all 3 Affinity programs. I also bought Designer for my iPad.
I’ve never been a fan of Illustrator. (Perhaps…somewhere deep down…I still resent Adobe for acquiring Macromedia and doing away with Freehand. )
I’ve spent the last few weeks watching tutorials and playing catch-up to 10 years of technology advancements. I’ve been very impressed with the Extreme ease of transitioning my MAC Adobe files to Affinity on my PC. So far, I’ve spent most of my time in Designer and a little time with Publisher. I’m finding Designer tools to be much more intuitive and responsive. I look forward to learning more.

Madame reacted to TookiTheGreat in I did a whole book in Affinity Publisher
I have just published my book "A String of Pearls" on Amazon. I had one issue with a recurring crash, caused by me mistakenly switching page Masters from left to right. Other than that, the power and ease of use of Publisher has enabled me to get this book look almost exactly as I had in mind when I started writing it.
Once the iPad version of Publisher is out I don't even have to use my iMac anymore. I wrote the whole thing in Ulysses on my iPad Pro and would have loved to finish the layout on my iPad as well.
Thanks, Affinity for making such awesome products at such a great price.

Madame reacted to GarryP in Very simple dimensioning objects
Just in case anyone is interested, I was playing around and came up with these simple dimensioning objects (in the attached afdesign file).
To use them accurately you will have to snap to the grid, they don’t have automatic measurements, and they don’t work in all situations, but they can be used for simple drawings without too much fuss (you can see them working in the GIF).
You might need to adjust some elements in some copies of the objects to make your drawing look right but it’s not too difficult.
You can change the “Dimensions” Text Style font to get a different look and you can change the “Dimensions” colour in the “Dimensioning” Palette to create a quick blueprint (see last attached image).

Madame reacted to AlanShore in Introduce Yourself
Hello. My nickname is Alan Shore. I am Belgian, retired, and passionate about graphics. Following three strokes, my memory abilities were greatly affected. So I use Affinity software to remuster my brain and keep it a minimum of functionality.
My mother tongue is French, but thanks to Google Translate, I speak and understand English very well and also lots of other languages :). If you want the forum in French, follow this link
Feel free to ask me questions about Affinity's programs, it forces me to look for answers and it fills my loneliness.
Friendships to you all.
