  1. WOW! This is AMAZING! Many many many years ago I considered scientific illustration as a profession. Your work is inspirational!!!!!!!!
  2. I use the Boolean operations a lot! I already found them much more intuitive than other programs. love these updates.
  3. I second the kudos for the pre-flight panel.
  4. Thank you! This worker perfectly. I knew I was making this harder than it really was. šŸ˜‚
  5. Is there a way to change which node in the red end node in a closed object? I am using some of the natural brush tools and would like to control where the "distressed" end of the stroke appears. I had it all planned out and then changed the layering and joined some objects and everything moved. Thanks - Heather
  6. Hi! Iā€™ve already read many of the threads about the Apple Pencil and issues with other stylus. Iā€™ve decided to buy an Apple Pencil for myself. I let my 12 yo daughter install Designer on her iPad as well through Family Share. Hubby wants to get her a stylus as well. We really donā€™t want to spend that much money on an Apple Pencil for a 12 yo. Any suggestions on a stylus that is more economical? It needs to work without being frustrating, other wise she wouldnā€™t use it and it will just be a waste of money, but it doesnā€™t necessarily need to be as fine tuned as an Apple Pencil. Thanks!
  7. Good morning from Florida, USA! My name is Heather. I was a professional designer for over a decade before I left that job, in 2010, to be a full time mom. I worked as an in-house designer mostly producing direct mail advertising, catalogues, and large scale pieces for trade shows and conferences. Now that my daughter is in middle school I have a lot more time on my hands. Back over the summer, I decided to get back into design work and Iā€™m learning to run my own business. Over Thanksgiving, I took a deep breath, jumped in, and traded in my 13 yo MAC with Illustrator and Photoshop CS3 and Quark 9 for a brand new PC and all 3 Affinity programs. I also bought Designer for my iPad. Iā€™ve never been a fan of Illustrator. (Perhapsā€¦somewhere deep downā€¦I still resent Adobe for acquiring Macromedia and doing away with Freehand. ) Iā€™ve spent the last few weeks watching tutorials and playing catch-up to 10 years of technology advancements. Iā€™ve been very impressed with the Extreme ease of transitioning my MAC Adobe files to Affinity on my PC. So far, Iā€™ve spent most of my time in Designer and a little time with Publisher. Iā€™m finding Designer tools to be much more intuitive and responsive. I look forward to learning more.
