Ensure each Picture Frame object is aligned with the document pixel grid such that it's top left location is an integer quantity of pixels in X and Y, and its W and H are also integer quantities of pixels.
You might find it helpful to enable Force Pixel Alignment in the snapping manager when creating objects that must be pixel aligned to prevent unwanted antialising.
Another tip is to set the displayed quantity of decimal places of values to three or more, so that non-integer values are less likely to be shown as integers in Transform panel and elsewhere. The displayed decimal places controls are in the UI section of the app preferences. Note that this does not affect the real precision of values, and only affects the presentation of the values.

UPDATING TO THIS VERSION (Free for existing customers)
The software version can be seen on the splash screen and the About dialog (in application menu, Affinity Publisher > About).
If you’ve purchased from the Mac App Store— updates are done automatically next time you run your software after it is available in the Mac App Store. If this does not happen for you, open the Mac App Store app and go to the Updates page and then Store > Reload page or press CMD+R. This should hopefully force the update to show. Apple sometimes phase roll outs around the world which can mean it may take up to 72 hours for your update to be available.
If you’ve purchased from the Affinity Store— each time you start the software it will check for updates and offer to download and install any available update, or in the application main menu there is an option Check for Updates. You can download the latest installer by logging into the affinity store here and find the order in your account and use the "download" button in there. Alternatively, this new release (and previous versions of Affinity Publisher for macOS) can be downloaded from this link (that installer is NOT for Mac App Store purchases and needs a product key).

Hi @Jon P, I tried @T. Payton's advice about and set Paste to not store clipboard data from Affinity apps. This seems to have done the trick for now.
    Cheers, you two!

We have issues logged of other clipboard managers causing crashes, so it is likely.
I've installed it and can't reproduce it for a simple file but I have your files from another thread so will see if I get it when I look at that.
In the mean time, can you try not running it and see if it helps?

We're using paste as well. I disabled paste for affinity apps and I'll see how that goes.

The major feature I dream for is a more robust pattern making tool, like what Illustrator has, only better in the way that Serif would make it

I do a lot of clothing design and really miss having Illustrator's pattern tool... A LOT.

With the addition of something like that, I could certainly move my whole department over!

We are pleased to announce an update for the macOS release of Affinity Publisher, version 1.7.3

Pasting text could replace unselected text under certain circumstances. Text frames wrapping around other text frames only use z-order if both have wrap. Fix for Text on a Path handle snapping / jumping. (Win) Character page dropdowns not working when using select tool. Print and Export
(Mac) Fix for crash printing CMYK documents with Embedded RGB documents. (Mac) PDF Export: Allow advanced features checkbox was missing. General
Fix for masked adjustment groups drawing incorrectly. Fixed odd behaviour with transform panel adjusting size of sheared objects. (Win) Fix for failures when installed to folder with a non-ANSI path. Fixed failure to import .ABR brushes. Fixes for stability issues that have been logged with us. Plus Translation and Help updates. This thread is for commenting on this announcement. Please do not post bugs or problems that you find when using this version of the software in this thread, instead make a new thread in the Publisher Bugs on macOS section and questions about usage go in the Desktop Questions forum.

We can’t believe it’s been five years since we launched Affinity Designer, the first in our creative suite of apps. It’s been an incredible journey and we’re amazed that Affinity has now been adopted by over two million users worldwide.
Along the way we’ve launched the first professional creative applications for iPad, picked up loads of awards including an Apple Design Award and multiple App of the Year awards, and finally realised our initial vision for Affinity - to provide one seamless workflow between creative applications - with the announcement of StudioLink in Affinity Publisher just a few months ago.
All of our success is down to the support and feedback you’ve given us, so as a thank you, we’ve slashed the prices of our content packs in half.
This 50% off sale is only on for a limited time, so make sure you head over to our store now so you don’t miss out. Sale ends Friday 4th Oct!

While you're here we have also just released updates to all our applications, details are found in links from this post

Thanks for the additional files, I've ensured these are all logged with the other reports we have got for Photo.
I've tried to use some of the known workarounds we have to get everything to render correctly but not had any luck yet in 1.7.2.

    Hi randomjames,
I was looking at the other files from the other thread yesterday, I can reproduce that and I'm fairly certain it's an issue we are aware of (it effects the Photo persona), although the trick to fix files isn't working in yours so I'm just doing a bit more investigating.
The latest post you've made looks quite like the 1.7.1 and 1.7.2 troubleshooting files.
The only thing I'm struggling to see here is from your OP in this thread, that file for me looks similar between 1.7.1 and 1.7.2, so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything there.
Either way I am looking into this, I am 90% sure that this is an issue we are aware of, and am trying to see if there's anything I can do to "fix" the files for now to keep you working in 1.7.2, but I'm glad you can go back to 1.7.1 if needed for now (although I understand it makes using StudioLink awkward).
I'll update you if I have more info, also feel free to upload the latest file you have shown screenshots of to the same dropbox.
  13. Thanks

Jon, here are a couple more files for troubleshooting:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/vrfp4ylebuawbvq/Troubleshooting 1.7.2.afpub?dl=0
I've found that by hiding some of the layers that aren't showing properly, the page headers that aren't visible will reappear.

Is there any way I / the community can encourage / bribe  the devs to make this common task more simple? Some apps allow a modifier + mouse click to delete a node (proper delete, not just remove node).
We don't need much just basic vector features:

    Hi Felix P,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums
There's no way to delete a segment of a shape directly but you can break the nodes that surround the segment, so it becomes an independent line, then delete it. To do this with the shape/object selected, select the Node Tool, shift-click the two nodes that delimit the segment you want to delete then go to the context toolbar and click the Break Curve icon in the Action section (the first icon from left to right).
If you now deselect the shape and reselect it again you will have the segment and the rest of the shape as two separate objects. Delete the line/segment you want to discard.

Hi chaps, came here a few days ago to find out, so thanks Scungio for the pointer. Seem to remember trying to sort this out about a year ago and for some reason it seemed less possible then... however, sorted now, so all good.
I felt I had to pop back and add my two penneth worth though, with a few stern words to the devs...
Basically, Mr and Mrs Affinitys, to leave this basic and very expected shortcut combination out of AF is a major oversight and, more than anything, causes unnecessary confusion and frustration to your users, especially new ones. I've been with you since day one, and am a complete evangelist for all Affinity products, but I am determined to go Adobe free (haven't used Ps or Il in many years) and have much more staying power than many other users - seemingly small omissions like D for default colours and X for swap colours will quickly turn new users away from Photo, despite the ability to 'fix' them by setting up your shortcuts as we have.
I'm curious as to why these shortcuts have been left out? Was it literally an oversight that didn't seem to matter, or are there, perhaps, legal reasons for not putting them in as default?
Would love an answer from devs on this if possible?
Just to push the point home, here's a run down of the frustration new users will face - I got all the way to the end, but how many new users will actually get this far before running back to Adobe with their tails between their legs???....

    1. Doing a mask, dum de dum
    2. Press D  (0.1 seconds)
    3. Nothing
    4. Set black and white colours manually (4 seconds)
    5. Need swap colour
    6. Press X (0.1 seconds)
    7. Nothing
    8. click colour swap on Colour panel (1 Second)
    9. Continue working 'the AP way' (30 minute)
    10. Decide this is pants and there must be a better way
    11. Fiddle with keyboard shortcuts, don't really know where to look (6 minutes)
    12. Go to the Affinity Forum, can't really find much about it (25 minutes)
    13. Become a regular visitor to the Affinity Forum, dedicated enough to the Affnity products to keep looking out often for new features etc. (Couple of years)
    14. Realise that it is possible after all after finding this thread! (8 minutes)
    15. Make appropriate changes to Keyboard Shortcuts (5 minutes)
    16. Realise how much valuable time you have wasted sorting out something that really...no. really. ... should've been there all along. (3 minutes after step 15.)
    17. Go back to the forum and write an overly long and extravagently terse post hoping that the devs will notice and at least give an answer as to the omission,
at best, make the shortcuts default from install. (About 28 minutes now)
    18. Get TF back to work! (in about 20 seconds once I click post!)

    Thanks

On Macs, the folders for the retail versions are in the Containers folder of the user Library folder, named with the 'reverse URL' convention Apple recommends, so for Photos the path is ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto, with most of the items in the Data/Library/Application Support subfolder.
There are also Container folders for the individual Photo extensions, like ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.DevelopExtension.
