wgphoto Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 While the new HSL filter is great, it is missing a key feature, the HSV toggle. This is particularly important in my workflow as I use it to bring desaturation to white as part of a saturation mask as seen in this video. Please bring it to this version before the store version is launched, thanks. https://youtu.be/EcMzB79cHRI iPad Pro 12.9 M1/Mac Mini M1, in that order

wgphoto Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 I hope they reconsider as it's never good to take away features, just add or improve them. iPad Pro 12.9 M1/Mac Mini M1, in that order
wgphoto Posted May 31, 2019 Author Posted May 31, 2019 I vote for @dmstraker's suggestion of a checkbox for PSD compatibility as some of us don't care about that and would rather have the HSV functionality. again, not good to take away features. iPad Pro 12.9 M1/Mac Mini M1, in that order
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted May 31, 2019 Staff Posted May 31, 2019 All, We are likely to reintroduce the HSV option in a future build - it got lost because the changes to HSL were effectively a rewrite and it was not part of that rewrite.. Chris - if this isn't already logged, can we log it so we don't forget? Thanks, A wgphoto, Patrick Connor, Chris B and 1 other 3 1

wgphoto Posted June 5, 2019 Author Posted June 5, 2019 Thanks guys. In the meantime, I’ve found another way to create my saturation mask, so onto 1.7 I go! iPad Pro 12.9 M1/Mac Mini M1, in that order
Gary Dunning Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 (edited) To create a saturation mask, use the selective colour adjustment as follows: 1. Deselect relative. 2. For the red, yellow, green, cyan, magenta and blue colours, set all the sliders to -100. 3. For the whites, neutrals and blacks, set all the sliders to +100. N.B. This solution requires Photo 1.7. Gary Dunning Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 Saturation masks can also be created with the Apply Image filter. DR = max(SR,SG,SB) - min(SR,SG,SB) DG = max(SR,SG.SB) - min(SR,SG,SB) DB = max(SR,SG.SB) - min(SR,SG,SB)

Dots should be replaced with commas in max functions.
