JOLLORANDI Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Greetings, My first post.... I just downloaded the trial version on Sunday and finished my first illustration. I'm looking forward to hanging here around and picking up some good tips. Love the program, will be buying once I get back from Vacation. JOLLORANDI Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Thanks all... I did it almost all with the pen tool and gradients.... now that I'm a little more familiar with the program I hope it only gets better Quote
penwiper Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 This looks great, good job! :-) You should see my first illustration in Affinity ^_^ ... the whole process gets easier with time. I've been working with it since December and I at least am much faster than in the beginning! David 1 Quote
Staff MattP Posted April 9, 2015 Staff Posted April 9, 2015 Hey, if we're talking about first illustrations in Affinity - you should see mine! I think it was a rectangle... (to be fair though, there were no tools initially!)... Hehe ;) David 1 Quote
Staff MEB Posted April 9, 2015 Staff Posted April 9, 2015 Sorry Jollo. Hope i haven't been misunderstood  It's a great illustration on its own, even more because it was done with an unknown/new software. That's what i meant. JOLLORANDI 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
JOLLORANDI Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Sorry Jollo. Hope i haven't been misunderstood  It's a great illustration on its own, even more because it was done with an unknown/new software. That's what i meant. All good..... Having worked with after effects for a number of years...my first job was painful roto work... so the bezier pen tool is about the only thing I can control at this point. I've figured out how to do a couple things on my second one that I couldn't seem to get with the bus. Really digging the program though just need to keep learning new tricks Quote
