Sammy Be
I’ve seen a lot of requests for undo/redo gestures but I cant even seem to find regular button. On the iPad version of affinity photo they are in the lower right side but there is nothing there. There is a history tool which is nice and seems powerful but I want a simple, easy to tap button like in the photo app.
dominik
Hello @Sammy Be, welcome to the forum. There is an option in preferences under User Interface. It's the last option 'Show Undo and Redo Symbols' (or something like this. I'm on a non English iPad). d. DM1
Not having the desktop version, I too was disappointed when initially I could not find those buttons as I was used to them on the iPad Photo app. Photo users were asking for undo redo gestures so I guess that was a focus for Designer. To be honest, now I rarely use the buttons as the gestures become quite natural to use and can be done anywhere on screen rather than having to move to the button locations. Can't wait for them to be added to Photo too. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). The two finger tap is great and I'm used to it from Procreate. But I think there should always be several ways to access a function (at least these very common ones) and the easy, obvious and intuituve ways should be on by default for beginners. Esa
Yes. I was also searching for buttons of undo/redo as they are in Affinity Photo. Yes, the history is very good. I like it a lot. The software should be quite similar to easily found the tools. Good to know the gestures.
jefferis
the three finger tap conflicts with the ipad pro zoom feature. Can't find a way to totally turn it off on the ipad or to change the redo command in affinity.

A lot of chaos is created by tapping. It's good that the keys are present in the preferences to choose from.
