Hi guys,

I read in an older topic that 1.6 would bring prototyping. Is that still the case? Any ETA on that? That would really be extremely helpful. And I'm not talking about invision type prototyping, which is very basic, I'm talking about real multi level prototyping, not just changing a screen, but hiding showing objects with gestures, adding layers to a screen prototype, manipulating layers instead of whole screens, etc. Please say it will happen soon :)

I don't think it will happen soon.

It has been said that there are plans for prototyping and some kind of work in progress, but I've never read about ETA for that feature.

Best regards!

Hi chris.bannu,

We are planning on adding this shortly, as one of our developers MattP outlines in this post as well as our head of development TonyB confirming this here.
I'm sorry but I can't provide a more accurate timescale, as we don't like to make promises we might not be able to keep to!

I'm not so sure about "shortly"! Prototyping isn’t on the Feature Roadmap, which seems to suggest that it won’t be added for version 1.x.

My guess was that it'd come eventually within the 2.x cycle. As Matt said: it takes time. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows?

Best regards!

Fair point, as I've said I don't have an accurate timescale so I'll be more careful with my wording in the future. Apologies! 9_9

It's a relative term, so for example compared to how long before the sun burns out or how long most of us have been alive, it is almost certainly going to be "shortly." xD
