dutchshader
tried in photo and designer to paste your text in another pdf and again it is pasted as japanese text. in pp x8 and acrobat it pasted normal, so it must be a bug in designer. Alfred
1 hour ago, Petar Petrenko said: Yes, no Japanese characters at all, but when I Copy/Paste MK text from Word to PDF file opened in AD, Japanese text shows mysteriously all of a sudden. So, this is the problem because I want to do my job in AD. I can't see any Japanese characters in the text of the PDF file, but when I check the document properties in my PDF viewer (PDF-XChange Editor) I see that one of the fonts embedded in the document is 'KozGoPr6N-Regular', which belongs to the Kozuka Gothic Pr6N R font family. As you might expect from a name like 'Kozuka', the font covers various Japanese character ranges. MikeW
Hello Petar, Just so you know, there is Helvetica and Calibri also used in the Word document. There is also listing such as "Arial,Bold" shown in the font box in Word for some headings, which it should not ever list Arial Bold that way. And there is an embedded subset for KozGoPr6N-Regular in the PDF. Not used much but is there and that may be throwing off things (still a bug). Arial MT is also used in the PDF. Helvetica is also used in the PDF file. Edit. Alfred beat me to the punch. KozGoPr6N isn't used for much (a few numerals and parenthesis). It should in no way throw off AD... Petar Petrenko
Thanks @MikeW but I don't think the problem is in fonts because in other apps everthing is OK. I think this is bug in AD (and probably in APh, too) so better to leave to the staff to see what the problem is. I would like everthing to be corrected together with my suggestion from the beggining of this thread because I found AD would be great for this kind of work, too. It still needs "Find/Replace" feature and if they make corrections to the "Character/Paragraph Styles" to look like in InDesign or QXP... I considered it just a typo & an opportunity to lighten the mood a tiny bit -- I am fairly sure you have written "staff" before & know the difference between "staff" & "stuff" in English. As for me, I consider myself lucky when I can type an entire paragraph in English without making mistakes or typos.
