Wosven
Example of when it would be usefull: applying same modification to selected object (notice that to align all with 0 space beteween objects, I need to click 3 times: "space horizontally", uncheck "auto distribute", "ok"): When needing to resize a lot of objects, and after that aligning lines and rows, it can be a pain without this command. Ctrl + J does exactly do what is requested (although its labeling with "Duplicate Selection" doesn't really show that it'll repeat the last action as well). It repeats the last action only if that action was to create a duplicate. (This is referred to in the help as Power Duplicate.) What is being asked for is more generalized, a keyboard shortcut that repeats the last action, regardless of what it was. DesignByAdrian
In Illustrator, you can, for example, alt-drag any object to copy it to a new location, then if you hit CMD-D, a new copy will be placed and moved the same distance. Keep hitting CMD-D to continue. Imagine copying and rotating one triangle all around a circle to create a sun.

You can in ADe etc. do too, see the power duplicate function (Cmd-j/Ctrl-j). Julian Hibbert
Come on Serif, this is a small feature request, but massively important
Dampsquid
Sigh. Been waiting almost three years for this. Just read through what's coming in 2.1. Good stuff, but still no 'repeat last...'
Clayton King
Thought I'd revisit this topic again as it just came up on a document. I have a series of boxes and numbers in front of them. The client wants the boxes and numbers enlarged a bit. I used the transform panel to increase the size by typing 115% and using the center anchor point. There are many elements on the page, so it would be helpful to be able to select the next set and CTRL-R (like Corel) or F4 like Microsoft to simply repeat the last action of scaling the objects 115%, rather than having to type it into the transform panel. Symbols aren't a good workaround as they are all different.

Doesn't selecting all relevant element layers and then using the transform panel with setting center point and increase the size by typing 115% does that for all selections?
