markw
In the Left Studio panel of Designer I have the; Assets, Symbols & Constraints panels. For quick access to these three I set a Key shortcut to show/hide the Left Studio. But now whenever I start Designer, come back to the Draw Personas form another Persona or toggle the Tab key the Left Studio pops right back up again unbidden and I have to re-hide it.Before setting the shortcut key the Left Studio would always stay hidden until I specifically wanted it. Staff MEB Posted March 19, 2017 Staff Share Posted March 19, 2017 Hi markw, This is a known issue that's already logged to be looked at. It's not related with setting up a shortcut. The panels always appear whenever you restart the app, press Tab or change personas as you have discovered. markw
Thank’s for the clarification MEB.Will eagerly be awaiting the next beta :) predick 1 macOS 10.15.7 | 15" Macbook Pro, 2017 | 4 Core i7 3.1GHz CPU | Radeon Pro 555 2GB GPU + Integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 1.536GB | 16GB RAM | Wacom Intuos4 M
LilleG
The post I started earlier and then deleted was about this same issue in Photo, where it is a recurring irritant. In Designer 1.5.5. Beta 2, it isn't happening for me. The Left Studio does not show up when I open the program, change Personas, or use Tab. I have never clicked Show Left Studio and I have never set up a Shortcut for that. So perhaps it does have something to do with either setting up a Shortcut or having clicked on Show Left Studio at some point.
Staff MEB Posted March 19, 2017 Staff Share Posted March 19, 2017 Hi LilleG, This issue only happens if you have dragged/placed some panels in the Left Studio. With the Left Studio disabled (greyed out in the menu) this never happens because there's no panels to display. LilleG
Thanks for the clarification, MEB. Makes me wish I'd never put anything in that Panel in Photo. :) RaymondFlili
markw
Bumping this thread again as this issue is also in the latest 1.6 beta anon1 1 macOS 10.15.7 | 15" Macbook Pro, 2017 | 4 Core i7 3.1GHz CPU | Radeon Pro 555 2GB GPU + Integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 1.536GB | 16GB RAM | Wacom Intuos4 M
LilleG
This seems to be fixed in Designer but it still exists in Photo.
markw
Interesting?... Sadly though for me it's still broke in both Designer & Photo :( macOS 10.15.7 | 15" Macbook Pro, 2017 | 4 Core i7 3.1GHz CPU | Radeon Pro 555 2GB GPU + Integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 1.536GB | 16GB RAM | Wacom Intuos4 M
R C-R
Also still broken for me in AD 1.6 beta 1. I have not yet tried the AP 1.6 beta so I can't comment on that. @LilleG: If you hide the left studio & then hit tab twice (to hide & then show the UI) does the left studio stay hidden for you? What about switching to a different Persona & then back to the same one? LilleG
R C-R, AD will open with Left Studio hidden, and it will only appear when I hit F9 (my shortcut for Show Left Studio.) Neither changing Personas nor using Tab to show/hide the UI cause it to open. But as I pointed out earlier, in View> Studio, Show Left Studio has never been checked. And I'm not about to check it now to see if that's the culprit. Bad enough to have it popping up all the time in AP, which it does!
mwcs
Over eager left studio is definitely a good description! Still happening in AD for me too... anon1
markw
Pleas, pleas, pleas, make it stop! LilleG
Wish it was fixed in Photo Beta 1.6.4 but it's still popping up at every Persona change just like always. Obviously not an easy fix or it would have been done already.
markw
Sadly true Lille at the time of posting this. But Photo is two release behind Designer now and as both apps share the same code base I’m very optimistic about the next Photo release when it comes macOS 10.15.7 | 15" Macbook Pro, 2017 | 4 Core i7 3.1GHz CPU | Radeon Pro 555 2GB GPU + Integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 1.536GB | 16GB RAM | Wacom Intuos4 M
Staff Andrew Tang Posted August 12, 2017 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2017 Yes don’t worry, the same fix that went into Designer also went into Photo, so will be in the next beta and full release version. LilleG
