You can on Windows but I don't believe you can on Macs

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. As I can't use two cols on the right, is there anyway to get rid of topics I never use in these huge pallets? See above.

Further how can I get rid of wasted menu fill topics I never use: see the following jpg.

The answer is no you can't.

I think the user interface should be much more configurable than it is now. In my opinion, it would be good to revise the interface design, going more towards the so-called "progressive enhancement" strategy, where the panel shows the basic most frequently used options first, and on request, e.g. using the panel menu, you can expand it to show more sophisticated and advanced ones.

Excessively long panels with many sections where a lot of small controls are squeezed and the need to scroll has nothing in common with modern UI, it rather reminds me of the early 90s.

Affinity Photo 2 on the Mac can be so frustrating. Ive owned this program through 2 generations and its still frustrating to find out another Mac issue. You used to not be able to draw in AP w a pen on Mac. They finally updated it. Now they fill panels w useless menus. Every panel should snap to every other panel. Stop cutting corners Affinity.

??? I never had that problem with any version, including the very first Mac V1 versions.

Not sure what you mean by this. Floated panels can snap to others, as can panel groups. And of course one Studio panel group can be snapped to either side of the document window. The only limitation in this respect is on Macs there can only be one Left & one Right Studio.

Then why do you keep asking me questions? Regardless, you can use the Ignore option so you won't see my posts. Just hover the pointer over my avatar in any of my posts & choose "Ignore."

You can reduce the height of panels with such optional subtopics. Unfortunately, this doesn't work if there is another panel placed under the one you want to reduce in height and its height cannot be changed. It sounds absurd, but it's true.

As workaround for the simple but still missing feature of multiple docking panel columns I use a column left of the main window to avoid conflicts with the layout area (ruler, zooming, scrolling etc):

Unfortunately, if placed to the right, the additional panel column may cover items of the Context Toolbar on a small screen:

Wow, the further I work w this app, the further down the rabbit hole I seem to go.
