Intuos5 Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Shouldn't the list of favourite fonts also be in alphabetic order? In 2.5, Windows 10, that's not the case for me. Quote

Dan C Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Thanks for your report @Intuos5! I've logged this with our development team as I'd expect Windows to use the same alphabetical ordering as found on macOS - I hope this helps ACDesignStudio and Intuos5 2 Quote

But in V1 they were always in order no matter when the font was added or faved. I guess you're saying that something unfortunate happened with V2 regarding the Fav Fonts list. I was so looking forward to it. I hope it will be done in the next update. I am using Win10 and was using it before when the list was alphabetized in V1. I've logged this with our development team as I'd expect Windows to use the same alphabetical ordering as found on macOS - I hope this helps Hi Dan C, I updated today and the Favorite Fonts feature has still not been alphabetized like it was originally. There have been several updates since this issue was first shared. I have 131 carefully-selected fonts in Favorite Fonts. I use fonts everyday. I was used to accessing them alphabetically which was highly efficient. Has this not been corrected because not enough users have requested it? Is it too difficult to correct? Has it been designated as not important? It's not like we are asking for a new feature. This is a feature that was somehow corrupted. It is not working like it was so correct function should have been restored a long time ago. Since this is an issue that affects me every time I use Affinity, I am very disappointed. I don't know if this is an issue for Serif or Canva but I am very sad that this happened and angry that it has not been corrected. GRAFKOM Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Dan C probably doesn't work at Serif anymore, so the topic with this bug probably disappeared into nothingness, and it will never be fixed. ACDesignStudio 1 Quote
ACDesignStudio Posted February 20 Posted February 20 What do you suggest that I do to take up the cause again and try to get it corrected? Thanks for replying. Quote Designing, Arting, Writing, Crafting, Lover of the Creative Life Linktr.ee
GRAFKOM Posted February 20 Posted February 20 It's hard to say. This report hasn't had a bug number assigned for a year, so Serif probably doesn't recognize it as a bug. What can you do? I have no idea. I stopped reporting bugs since I noticed that the most obvious ones that show up after starting the program are ignored and not fixed for years - some for 10 years. I have the impression that Canva's takeover of Serif will have a negative impact on the future of Affinity. So that it doesn't turn out to be a simple software for submitting projects for everyone. Ok. Thanks again for replying and trying to help. I'm not saying this issue should take precedence over critical issues that affect professional Affinity users. I feel that it could be a fix that could be piggy-backed during one of the more important fixes. I'm not sure I want to quit trying yet, though all that you say makes perfect sense. Maybe I'll send an email and/or start my own thread asking for help. Quote Designing, Arting, Writing, Crafting, Lover of the Creative Life Linktr.ee
GRAFKOM Posted February 20 Posted February 20 This thread is indeed tagged AF-3313, so it's in the queue for fixing among 5 million other bugs. ACDesignStudio 1 Quote

Yes, I was reading some of the new bugs posts re the newest update, 2.6. I might just give up about pursuing this issue and keep moving forward. 🙁 Quote Designing, Arting, Writing, Crafting, Lover of the Creative Life Linktr.ee
